Review of Baguetterie Boulevard at ĆœeleznĂĄ, Praha 1 (KamzĂkovĂĄ 5544/1, 110 00 StarĂ© MÄsto)
I have been a regular customer at Baguetterie Boulevard, located at ĆœeleznĂĄ in Pragueâs StarĂ© MÄsto, a place known for its baguette sandwiches. Unfortunately, my recent experiences at this specific location have been disappointing, with multiple issues related to incorrect pricing and poor customer service, leaving me frustrated.
On one occasion, I ordered a soup, which the menu clearly stated cost 60 KÄ for the small portion and 80 KÄ for the large portion. However, I was charged 80 KÄ for the small portion. When I pointed out the mistake, the cashier was not only dismissive but also argumentative, even though I showed her the correct price on the menu. I was quite upset by her unprofessional attitude.
Hoping this was just a one-off, I returned on another day and faced yet another issue. I ordered a menu that was on discount, where the price should have been 189 KÄ (originally 209 KÄ, with a 20 KÄ discount). Instead, I was charged 199 KÄ. When I brought this up, the staff member claimed she thought I had ordered an ice tea from the bottle, which costs 59 KÄ. Her explanation didnât make sense and felt like an excuse rather than an honest mistake, as it didnât match what I had ordered.
As a regular customer, I feel that these errors are not coincidental, and it appears that they may be trying to take advantage of tourists or customers who arenât paying close attention. I find this unacceptable and disheartening, especially since I enjoy their food, but this consistent pattern of overcharging and poor customer service makes it difficult for me to return.
If you plan to visit the Baguetterie Boulevard at ĆœeleznĂĄ in Prague 1, be sure to double-check your receipt, as mistakes seem to be a common occurrence here. Don't expect apologies either when things go wrong, which has unfortunately been...
Read moreDecided to pop in and give this place a try as I love baguettes. I was not disappointed, the food was excellent, as were the prices. There were lots of options. You could have a warm or cold baguette, and there were lots of side options. You can, also, choose the type of bread you want. There are also the options of soups and salads if you do not like baguettes. The Swiss baguette and grilled roast beef baguette were both very tasty with a good amount of fillings. The cheese fingers were okay, but the chips with tartar sauce were extremely nice, and they were generous with the sauce. You can order at the counter or on the machines. Service was quick. They set a time, and you can watch it count down so you are not waiting in limbo. Staff were all polite and efficient. There were not many tables, so on a busy day, you may struggle to find a place to sit. There is enough space for a person who uses a wheelchair to purchase food. However, the seating area was too small to be able to maneuver around or comfortably sit at a table. There are toilets downstairs. They were reasonably clean. There were no...
Read moreIt is not only about food. Food was good as always. The thing was: I was there with a group pf Japanese students. 1 of them had allergy - she had her own food. We ordered 7x menu but for that girl we olny wanted to WARM her food (packaged) UP in microwave. No. It is not possible. Too busy and too many rules... The world is consume and very busy. do you have an allergy? eat at home!... "We can not, we are not allowed..." people are too stupid they generalize everythig - even the rule should be re-considered in SOME cases. And that is the thing. to know WHEN to do so and not to be stupid. It was not fault of the stuff, they are afraid of being exiled by the manager or somebody... so, rules (meaningful in most of cases, not everytime strictly) are our priority, or doing a good job ? (waiter is a SOCIAL worker in some way). So, my experience was this, even though the food was OK and the staff wanted to do its...
