It's a great place to take amazing pictures. You have to understand that many of the illusions work best with a camera (so 2D) and are designed to take great pictures, even though there are a number of great installations that are in 3D: they look from a side perspective like random objects, but from a certain angle suddenly a face emerges.
Why only 3 stars? Although the underlying idea is great and we had some memorable moments including some really cool pictures, it is in my opinion pretty small and quite expensive for the small size (2025: 350 Kč that are ca. 14 - 16 € depending on the current exchange rate). Double the size of the museum and add some illusions that start fascinating people when they enter the room (I realise that this is a very subjective point of view).
If you want to shoot great pictures, this is the place to go and you'll enjoy yourselves. If you expect an "Illusions Art Museum", with emphasis on the "Art"-part of the name or some fascinating, immersive "Illusions", you may want to...
Read moreThe museum is very fun and engaging, with a wide variety of illusions that are enjoyable for both kids and adults. We visited as a family and had a great time exploring the exhibits. Buying tickets in advance helped us avoid long waits.
The museum can get crowded, and the circular layout makes it a bit challenging to linger with children who want to explore every illusion. Occasionally, other visitors appear in photos of the exhibits, which can be slightly frustrating.
The restrooms are limited (one stall each), resulting in long lines at times. The visit typically takes about an hour, but there is plenty to see and experience within that time.
Pros: Fun for families, wide variety of illusions, interactive and engaging, tickets in advance save time. Cons: Can get crowded, circular layout limits lingering, restrooms too small with long lines.
Overall, it’s a very enjoyable museum and worth visiting, especially if you want a family-friendly and interactive...
Read moreWe stopped by this museum as it was a nice quick fill of time before supper. I was quite surprised at the number and type of illusions they had. I really enjoyed the perspective illusions, where something seems like a jumbled mess until looking at it from a specific angle. This was done perfectly by having a viewing lens to bring each item into perfect view to create a picture. When you do go, there may be no lineup at the door, but be prepared to stand in several small lines to view a certain piece or capture a picture from the right angle. These are well worth it as some are a real good laugh. If there are a lot of people, some shots will be quite hard to get (on the floor). There is only a small bathroom area on the top floor (kid's area). Give yourself 30-60 minutes here, depending on the number in your group and how busy it is. It is a great time...
