⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Five-Star Experience Thanks to Segi!
I don’t usually take the time to write reviews, but my visit to Bar Restaurant Orloj in Prague absolutely deserves one — and that’s entirely because of Segi, the amazing waiter who made the entire experience unforgettable.
From the moment I walked in, Segi stood out. He greeted me with genuine warmth and a sense of calm confidence that immediately put me at ease. He wasn’t just polite — he was engaged. He made the whole evening feel personal, like I wasn’t just another tourist in the square but a truly welcomed guest.
Segi knew the menu inside and out and gave fantastic recommendations. Every dish he suggested turned out to be a hit. He had the kind of effortless charm and professionalism that you don’t see often — somehow managing to give every table his full attention without ever seeming rushed.
What I appreciated most was his instinct. He seemed to just know when I needed something — a drink refill, a quick check-in, a moment to decide. At one point, I asked a question about a local ingredient and he not only explained it but offered a small taste of something similar to help me decide. It’s those small gestures that turn a meal into a memory.
The food was excellent, the view over the Astronomical Clock was stunning, and the atmosphere was just right — but it was Segi who made it all come together. It’s rare to find someone in hospitality who takes so much pride in what they do, and it makes a world of difference.
So, if you find yourself in Prague and want to enjoy a great meal with incredible service, head to Bar Restaurant Orloj — and ask for Segi. You...
Read moreMy experience at Bar Restaurant Orloj was a complete disappointment. I especially have to point out one waiter who left such a terrible impression that it’s impossible to ignore. Unfortunately, I don’t know his name, but to describe him as clearly as possible: he was tall, bald, and had a mustache. His rude attitude, lack of interest, and inappropriate behavior toward guests left me shocked. On top of that, he used unnecessary and inappropriate words while speaking to us, which was both offensive and uncalled for.
Such unprofessional and disrespectful behavior from someone who is supposed to represent the restaurant is completely unacceptable. Instead of welcoming us with respect and care, his actions and words completely ruined the atmosphere and our mood.
As if that wasn’t enough, the prices at this restaurant are outrageously high, making this poor service even harder to justify. This waiter not only ruined our visit but left such a bitter impression that I will never return.
I want to emphasize that I’m not the kind of person who easily gives bad reviews, as you can see on my Google profile. However, I feel obligated to warn other guests because this level of service shouldn’t go unnoticed. Additionally, I’ve noticed suspicions from other users about fake reviews, which only adds to the impression that this restaurant is trying to cover up obvious problems. Unfortunately, this was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had, and Orloj is definitely not a place I would recommend to anyone. Even one star is too generous for such a...
Read moreI had a truly disappointing experience in this restaurant on Old Town Square. It is evident that they rely on fake Google reviews to attract customers, and their service was subpar while charging exorbitant prices. Despite claiming to offer traditional Czech cuisine, no one in the restaurant spoke Czech, making it clear that this place is just a tourist trap with no real connection to Czech culinary traditions. I ordered the supposedly traditional Czech dish, smažák (fried cheese), and it was evident that it was prepared from a pre-packaged supermarket product. The staff was uncooperative and even getting a drink took a long time.
To my dismay, the waiter insisted on a five-star Google review without considering the customer's authentic experience. Upon reading other reviews, it seems to be a common practice for the restaurant to try and coerce positive reviews, disregarding the fact that this establishment is a complete failure. If I had read the negative Google reviews pointing out the fake positive reviews beforehand, I would have chosen any other restaurant, as there are plenty on Old Town Square.
This restaurant completely ruins the experience of visiting Old Town Square and tarnishes Prague's reputation in the eyes of tourists.
It seems that the tenant also owe rent, so the claims about the expensive location are absolute...
