We visited here a few weeks ago, and here’s my detailed review of the experience.
To start, we ordered Fried Spring Rolls and Ebi Tempura. The Ebi Tempura was a standard dish, but it was satisfying and met our expectations. The Fried Spring Rolls, while not a personal favorite of mine, received positive feedback from my friends.
For the main dishes, two of my friends ordered the Maguro Poke Bowl, while the rest of us opted for Aburi Sashimi (6 pieces: 3 salmon and 3 tuna), Maguro Hosomaki (8 pieces), Maguro Tempura (10 pieces), and Salmon Tempura (10 pieces). The salmon sashimi was good, but the tuna lacked flavor. The Maguro Hosomaki was delicious and well-prepared. Both the Salmon and Maguro Tempura rolls were successful, especially with the sauces drizzled on top.
The portions of the Salmon and Maguro Tempura rolls were generous, just as they should be. Presentation-wise, I found the Poke Bowls and the sushi set visually appealing. While I’ve seen better presentations, I believe these were quite impressive.
The service was satisfactory; the staff were polite and attentive. We made a reservation beforehand, and I recommend doing the same to ensure you get a table.
Overall, it was a pleasant experience, although it didn’t leave me in awe. The ambiance was nice, and the restaurant's atmosphere felt comfortable and inviting. The photos I’ve included showcase the vibrant colors and fresh ingredients used in the dishes, which added to the overall dining experience.
The Fried Spring Rolls had a crispy texture and were served with a dipping sauce that complemented them well. The Ebi Tempura had a light and crispy batter, maintaining the shrimp’s natural flavor. Moving on to the Poke Bowls, the presentation was colorful and enticing. The fresh vegetables and sashimi pieces were arranged beautifully, making the dish both visually appealing and delicious. The seaweed salad and avocado added a nice touch, providing a variety of textures and flavors.
The sushi platter was a highlight, featuring a variety of rolls and sashimi. The tempura rolls had a delightful crunch, and the sauces on top enhanced their flavor without overpowering the taste of the fish. The Maguro Hosomaki was simple yet flavorful, showcasing the quality of the tuna.
The restaurant's interior was cozy, with wooden furniture and warm lighting, creating a welcoming atmosphere. The photos of the interior give a sense of the comfortable dining environment, perfect for a casual meal with friends or family.
In conclusion, BONCO Asian Fusion Restaurant offers a good variety of Asian dishes with decent quality and presentation. While it didn’t wow me, it was a satisfying experience overall. If you’re in the area and looking for a place to enjoy some sushi or Asian fusion dishes, it’s worth a visit. The friendly staff and inviting ambiance make it a pleasant...
Read moreI had a wonderful evening at Bonco Asian Fusion Restaurant Anděl. The service was truly outstanding – every staff member was friendly, attentive, and professional, creating a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere from the very beginning.
The restaurant itself is stylish and well-maintained. Even the restroom area one floor down was impressively spacious and spotless – a small detail, but one that reflects the overall quality standard.
The food was fresh, beautifully presented, and generously portioned. The quality of the ingredients was excellent. The seasoning seems to be adapted to European tastes, which I personally appreciated. My companion from Asia, however, felt the flavors could have been more intense and traditional.
In terms of pricing, I can't compare it to other restaurants in Prague, but from a German perspective, it was an absolute bargain considering the quality and quantity of the food. Excellent value for money.
All in all, a great dining experience. I’d be happy to return – highly...
Read moreArrived without a reservation, I was just craving sushi at that very moment. I was immediately greeted by two sisters who were warm, and welcoming. Their menu is both in Czech and English accompanied by pictures of the dishes they offer. Both of the sisters were very helpful and informative when I asked questions, and even recommended a couple of things based on the things I told them. The presentation was incredible, as was the food and drinks. The atmosphere was peaceful, and I am pretty sure I heard quite a lot of modern K-pop music playing in the background. As for the prices, they were definitely acceptable for the local market, and more than affordable compared to the UK or USA. I have found that they have only recently opened, but I have no doubt that they will do very well despite the competition. I am certain that I will visit Bonco some time in the future once I find myself in Prague again. Thank you girls for your...
