As someone who enjoys exploring new cuisines and trying out different dishes, my recent dining experience turned out to be a harrowing lesson in food safety. I decided to visit a trendy restaurant renowned for its exotic delicacies, with high hopes of indulging in a gastronomic delight. Unfortunately, what followed was a nightmare of food poisoning that left me wanting to throw up and dealing with severe diarrhea.
The evening started out on a promising note. After seeking recommendations from the server, I placed my order, eagerly anticipating the culinary adventure that awaited me. The ambiance was pleasant, and the service was prompt, adding to the anticipation of a fantastic dining experience.
However, the trouble began shortly after the first few bites. The dish that I ordered had an odd taste, but I dismissed it as a result of unfamiliar ingredients. Naively, I continued eating, hoping the peculiar flavor would grow on me. Little did I know that I was unknowingly ingesting harmful bacteria that would wreak havoc on my digestive system.
Within a few hours of leaving the restaurant, I started to feel an overwhelming sense of nausea. The queasiness quickly escalated into an urge to vomit, and despite my best efforts, I couldn't hold it back. The vomiting episodes were relentless, leaving me utterly drained and dehydrated. To make matters worse, the ensuing diarrhea was equally severe, adding to my distress and discomfort.
The following days were nothing short of miserable. I battled a persistent fever, body aches, and an unrelenting need to stay close to the restroom. My appetite vanished, and even the thought of food made me cringe. It was evident that I had fallen victim to a severe case of food poisoning.
Reflecting on this unfortunate experience, I can't help but wonder about the quality control and hygiene standards of the restaurant. It's disheartening to think that what was meant to be an enjoyable culinary adventure turned into a painful ordeal due to the negligence of food handling.
While I understand that such incidents can happen even in the most reputable establishments, I can't help but feel a sense of disappointment at the lack of accountability. As patrons, we place our trust in the hands of the chefs and restaurants, expecting them to prioritize our well-being by maintaining strict food safety protocols.
Despite the restaurant's appealing ambiance and courteous service, I cannot overlook the severe consequences of the food poisoning I experienced. As much as I'd like to give a higher rating for other aspects of my visit, the safety and well-being of customers should always come first.
In conclusion, my encounter with food poisoning has left me hesitant to venture into unknown culinary territories without thoroughly researching the establishment's food safety practices. I hope this review serves as a cautionary tale for fellow food enthusiasts, urging them to be vigilant and prioritize food safety...
Read moreThis place is just bizarre. Online - they advertise a specific lunch menu with much better options and prices. In the restaurant however this lunch menu is like some mysterious item that the staff members are either reluctant to show you or even deny its existence. I have been here 3 times, the first 2 occasions the lunch menu was hidden from display and after asking about it a couple of times the employee pulls it out from behind the counter, and after trying to charge you more will eventually realize the discounted cost. The recent occasion I visited this restaurant, the same staff member claimed that they no longer have this lunch menu and seemed to act as if he didn’t even know about it, even though it is clearly advertised online, and obviously still hidden from display behind the counter like on the previous two visits. The food here is usually pretty decent, but the alternative chicken shawarma bowl I had to get instead of the lunch menu was very bad - soggy and overly dressed salad with a small amount of chicken on top...
Read moreThe tahini was bitter, the fries were clearly kind of old, the hummus I didn't really like, the mango sauce was strange, the green spicy sauce is just spicy and kinda burns but it doesn't really taste like much else. The chicken is thighs, it's practically ok, but it was placed in the hummus which as aforementioned I ended up not liking much. The falafel was alright, and the salad too. I regret not buying the shawarma, or just buying food elsewhere (e.g Sofra). Maybe it's just that we bought the food after 7 PM. It was also takeaway, maybe the fries are better if you get it on site. Who knows. Technically I was a bit sick for the rest of the evening (probably the green spicy sauce) so I would...
