Pork’s - A Must-Visit for Meat Lovers in Prague
During my recent trip to Prague, I had the pleasure of dining at Pork’s, and it was one of the highlights of my visit. If you’re a fan of hearty, traditional Czech food, especially pork dishes, this place is an absolute must-try!
The atmosphere at Pork’s is warm and welcoming, with a rustic yet modern vibe. The decor is simple but charming, giving off a cozy feel that made for a relaxed dining experience. The staff were friendly, attentive, and quick to make recommendations, which was helpful since there were so many great options on the menu.
As for the food, it was exceptional. I ordered their signature pork knuckle, and it was cooked to perfection—crispy on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside, and packed with flavor. The portion sizes were generous, and the meat practically fell off the bone. The side dishes, like the sauerkraut and dumplings, complemented the pork beautifully and completed the meal perfectly.
In addition to the delicious food, the beer selection was impressive, featuring local Czech brews that paired wonderfully with the rich, savory dishes.
Overall, Pork’s offers great value for money, with high-quality food, large portions, and a friendly atmosphere. It’s the perfect spot to experience authentic Czech cuisine in a casual setting. I highly recommend it to anyone...
Read moreOkay I get that there was a sign outside that says “wait here to be seated”. And yes when I saw the group of people ahead of us walk in and just sit down, I shouldn’t have assumed we could do the same. But even with empty tables, did the waiter loudly tell us off and make us walk back out the door, stand there for a few minutes as punishment before he comes and brings us inside? Yes. Did he passive aggressively tell us not once, but twice that he supposes we missed the sign outside? Yes.
I wish that didn’t spoil our experience because the food was quite good even though it was quite expensive. We ordered the pulled pork knuckle on bread and a light potato salad. Would’ve ordered a bit more if it wasn’t so expensive and the service just ruined our mood unfortunately. A waitress came to give us the bill, when we said no to giving them a tip, she may as well as flipped us the finger and walk off by the attitude she suddenly gave us.
Also the place pretty much is targeted towards tourists- 95% of the diners were overseas tourists.
I would recommend the food, but damn, if the servers think you’re not following their rules, you will pretty much be made a fool of by them in front...
Read moreBest Pork&Beer in town. What an institution! Great concept restaurant - simple menu, great staff, super efficient but friendly and attentive. At 3pm on a Thursday I still had to wait for 15 min in line but it was definitely worth it. And after when I left there was no line around 4pm. I saw what others had ordered and decided to go for the pulled pork in butter bread and added the homemade chips to that. I had to start off the meal with the pork cracklings. They came out warm in a glass container with a lid. Taste was phenomenal in combination with a specialty mustard and bread. Not long after I got my main. The hot dog bun was actually brioche and tasted amazing with the mustard mayonnaise, the sweet cabbage and the massive amount of pulled pork knuckle meat on top. What a meal! So gooood! Definitely worth a visit, especially the friendly staff is amazing and unmatched in Prague. A delicious and affordable spot for meat lovers with a bit too many tourists and a loud banging door and not a very cozy atmosphere because there is a lot of buzz. But the food and friendliness makes...
