San Carlo Letná — Restaurant in Prague

The food is great. Unfortunately the service completely ruined the experience for us. We ordered a starter and 3 main courses. Our starter came shortly after and then we proceeded to wait another 45 minutes for 3 pasta dishes. The people sat next to us who arrived later were already finishing their meal, at which point we got up to tell the waitress we'd been waiting for an hour and how much longer should we expect to have to wait. Instead of apologising, she started explaining that we couldn't have been waiting for an hour because we ordered a starter. I said that regardless, waiting that long is not standard. We got our meal a few minutes later and as we started enjoying our long awaited meal, another waitress came with a receipt in order to tell us that we'd not been waiting for 1 hour but "ONLY" 40 minutes. No apology, just a receipt in her hand. Needless to say our meal was ruined and unfortunately so was the entire experience. Won't be coming back but it's definitely a shame. Perhaps the staff can be given some training on how to treat their customers in...

For a very long time, this used to be our favorite place to go to for Italian food. The service was always great and the food was always exceptional. The pizzas were the best that you could possibly wish for and while we visited Italy, we actually wished that we were back at San Carlo for our preferred pizza or aubergine bake (with extra sauce). Unfortunately the last three times the service and the quality of the food dropped remarkably. Today, we had a reservation and we were seated. Unfortunately the seat was in the direct blow of the air-conditioning and after waiting f or 20 minutes for someone to come to take our order or whom we could ask to be seated somewhere else, we just got up and left. This ay well have been one of the last times that we came here. It is a real pity that the old warm welcoming family feeling has been replaced by a more commercial "i don't care" atmosphere. My rating is based on all the perfect food, service and ambiance of the past. If we would have to rate it now, it would barely get a single star. Perhaps the owners should ...

I visited the place with my gf and we ordered two pizzas. The stuff was nice and they found us a table even tho, the place was almost fully booked. We’ve got our pizzas pretty fast but they were undercooked. Both pizzas were very watery. I asked the waitress about it and she addressed it to the cook who, as was told, put it back to the oven. When we got our pizzas back nothing changed. I asked the waitress again and she told that it is the way it has to be. We had several bites and decided to pay and leave. Another waiter who brought us the bill saw that we didn’t eat much of pizza. Then she asked what was wrong and I told her the story. She said, that due to a new oven they struggle to calibrate the temperature and recommended us to visit another restaurant from the same chain. That’s completely ridiculous. If you have issues with oven it is not the client who has to struggle. We spent 700czk for nothing and stayed very disappointed. If you want nice pizza go for pizza Nuova. It’s two...
