My husband and I had a wonderful 3 night stay at the Hotel Clement in Prague! We booked at the very last minute, but received such gracious customer service when we booked over the phone. We even received a special winter discount, which granted us a complimentary night stay!
We felt so welcomed from the smiling faces at the receptionist to the surprise fruit basket we received in our clean, modern room upon arrival. We stayed on the 8th floor and I definitely recommend staying on an upper level for the beautiful view! We enjoyed other nice amenities, including plush robes and toiletries.
The neighborhood is very quiet and it's a 20 minute walk to Old Prague Square, so it's a good opportunity to see a different area than the primary tourist district.
Their breakfast buffet was a bit packed with guests everyday, but the selection was delicious. I loved the local spreads, including the Czech beet salad. They did run out of some breakfast items, but I think it's because they're currently undergoing renovations and the space is a bit smaller than usual. All of the ladies were working really hard to keep food on the table and keep guests happy.
Pro Tips: Book directly with the hotel online, because they often have promotions like the one we found! Try the Indian restaurant (2 Brothers) around the...
Read moreHello there,
We stayed in 4 cities and Prague was our last destination. Our stay at hotel Clement and overall experience was favorable. The staff at the restaurant, front desk were presentable, approachable and professional. Thanking all for their great hospitality.
There is however one point that I would like to bring to your attention. During our check in, which was after a long journey from Budapest to Prague, and a walk from the railway station to the hotel, we arrived, completed our formalities and asked for water. As usual, the question was still or sparkling. When we said that we are okay with tap water, they said that they do not provide that. We were yet okay to pay and buy the water. Interestingly on the day of check out, while we waited at the lobby for our airport transfer, we had two gentlemen by the next table, who were having their cup of coffee and asked for tap water. They were immediately served with water by the same lady at the reception.
Is it a selective approach? A small gesture could have earned this hotel 5 stars. :)
Thanks once...
Read moreA nice hotel in a convenient location with tram and metro services within 5 minutes walk. Prices have gone up in Prague and so a "superior" room for less than £100 a night was pretty good value, I think. Nice comfortable bed although I prefer smaller pillows, a coffee machine that is simple to use and even decent sized mugs if you fancy tea. The room wasn't huge but was well equipped with decent wardrobe space and proper hangers. It was minus 5 outside but the room was warm and I didn't need to put the (a little noisy) aircon/heating on. The shower as good and the water hot. A big plus is the amount of large mirrors which I'm sure my wife would approve of. Breakfast was a little above average but could be improved. The orange juice was very weak and the scrambled eggs too sloppy for my liking. Coffee machine was good and there was plenty of choice overall of the usual breakfast items. There is an extra charge for items such as omelettes which is a shame in my opinion. As a regular visitor to Prague I will be using this...
