I went there on Sunday 18th Aug, 13.30h, with my wife and 2yo daughter. We entered through the door close to the inner garden. The place was almost empty. We waited for a waitress for about 10 min. As none of them were on sight, I went to the other side of the bar and asked one waitress that was doing nothing if the other side where we were seated was open, as there were no waitresses coming there. She asked me, in a very arrogant way, IF I SAID HELLO FIRST THING WHEN I ENTERED THE BAR. I said that of course not, as I entered through the other side and sat on a table, so I asked her if it was mandatory to enter to the bar through the entrance closest to her to get attended. She replied again that first thing I should have done when I arrived to the bar WAS COMING TO HER AND SAY HELLO. I replied that it’s not my obligation to go to her to get attended, that’s not how restaurants work. She told me, still with a very bad attitude, to return to my table. We left the bar, of course. I was a usual customer of the place and, besides the fact that all other waiters are very polite, this specific waitress always has a very bad approach. If she is upset with working in a place where people go to have a good time, she should try to improve her skills and get a job that suits her better, instead of taking it...
Read moreTerrible service, really the worst waitresses we have ever seen in our life!!! We were 8 friends - all foreigners and obviously it was the main biggest problem for these people, serving us. First of all, they ignored us completely. Then, when we finally ordered drinks and food, they brought several times another drinks and blamed us that it was our fault :D Is it normal for you at Dutch pub? Maybe. BUT for well behaved people - No! Besides all of these written above, they were extremely rude and tried to make fun of us - clients, who came to have a good time. Hope the Manager will do something with these people and take action, especially with two waitresses - one blond woman with short haircut and second tall woman with dark curly hairs!
P.S. Now we can also see unprofessional behavior from the management as well. I have been living in Prague for more than 10 years (as well as my friends, in case you are wondering and wishing not duplicate your rude answers in czech, when people write comments in english lol), so it's the worst "customer oriented" place ever. I have never seen such disrespectful behavior in Prague! Poor tourists:( Keep in mind that people come to your place hoping to have a good time, not arguing with some strangers. Wishing all the...
Read moreMy visit to The Dutch Bar left me torn. Doubtful. Unsure of myself.
While the bar is about as Dutch as my Moroccan neighbor (they kept the name from the previous, Dutch owner), my experience was mostly positive; very friendly staff, nice decoration and a good, if noisy, atmosphere.
Where it started to fall apart was with the food. Not only was it pretty expensive, the quality was sub-par. I chose the mozarella burger with grilled vegetables and fries. And I can't really recommend it. The mozarella had the texture like it could be used for flooring and the garnish on the burger was basic at best. The vegetables didn't have much taste and the mayo for the fries was pretty bland. My friend took the Fish&Chips. That one was frankly just bad. Straight from the freezer onto the plate, and only extreme amounts of vinegar to give it anything resembling a flavour.
So in short; go here is there's a game you wanna watch, but be sure to not go with an empty stomach. Maybe the regular burgers are better?
Also the 'dutch' part of this bar was like a Dutch and English person had a child's that is this bar. But the Dutch person was the dad who left the child at a young age, leaving only mama England as inspiration....
