Hotel located at the centre of the New Town, clean and quiet. International breakfast, both sweet and savory. Rooms of various sizes, on the website there are all details to choose. Our room was "Comfort", spacious and with two windows on Spalena street. The noise of the tramway and the street did not spoil our sleep, but there are also rooms overlooking the inner garden. If you request it while booking, they will do their best to meet you request. The bed was large and comfortable. Large, functional bathroom with spacious shower stall. There is a bidet but not the specific towel. Room cleaning is done in the afternoon, which can be a bit inconvenient on the days of stay but is very convenient at check out (check-out is at 12 o'clock). I'm not giving 5 stars for these reasons: 1-Before our arrival I wrote 3 emails to ask if they had a restaurant in the hotel or a partnership with some restaurants in the neighborhood. They never answered. They could (and should) have simply answered "no, but don’t worry because in the area there are many restaurants to choose from". It was very unkind of them. 2-Upon our arrival at the airport, the car we had booked through the hotel was not there waiting for us. We had to call the taxi company and we reached the hotel 1 hour later. Once we arrived at the hotel, we told what happened to the inexpressive and annoyed receptionist and said that they had probably indicated an incorrect date to the taxi service (28/08 instead of 20/08). Instead of apologizing for the inconvenience they caused us, he cut short saying that he was not responsible for that. (Tip: don’t ask the hotel for shuttle service. There are many Uber’s available at the airport, and they're cheaper.) 3-on 21/Aug evening, returning from dinner, we rang the bell twice but the attendant did not open. Then we saw we had to place the e-key on the scanner to open the door (scanner was behind our back and no one had told us how to open the door). Once we entered, the receptionist gave us a long and ironic applause. So rude. Even on our departure day (24/08), the guy at the reception was very hasty and insolent. While on the 22nd and 23rd Aug the receptionists were excellent. Perhaps HR people should pay more attention to the manners of the staff they hire. Working with the public requires courtesy and good manners. 4-the TV in the room did not show the channels of our country (even if they're in the channel list) and had no Internet connection, despite the wifi. We didn't ask for explanation or instructions but it is useless to give a service that does not...
Read moreThe hotel is in a perfect and central place! But it is definitely not a 4-stars hotel, more like 3-stars hotel. Advantages: Very central. walking distance of every attraction in prague. 2-minutes away from tram and metro station. 2-minutes away from shopping central with supermarket and fast food places. -Very clean, extremely safe, overall quite -staff is nice and mostly helpful for the entrance to the hotel property, one should use the room card to open the gate outside: this is great and adds to the safety of the place Disadvantages: -Took superior room with street view, and checked with the staff before going if it is going to be noisy and they said no! But the room is very noisy as long as the windows are open because it is close to the tram- that didn’t bother me much. But if you are extremely annoyed by noise ask before for a room without street view. -The room is not equipped with basic stuff, like pen and still water. Also in the bath there is only liquid soap, no shampoo, no conditioner, no creams! That’s why I said that this is more of a 3-stars hotel. -The food in the breakfast room is displayed in small space- and the food itself is very basic. I ate out most of the days. There is a alot of potential to the hotel and is not used, like the sitting place in the courtyard outside: it is not fully lit and could be presented in a more appealing way. -When I asked the seception for a robe and slippers, one of the staff members asked to get down to the reception to get them! I wasnt aware they dont have room service! -The heating didnt work well at night. They tried to fix it, but it didnt really change: only worked in the day. -I asked for a late check-out, they requested a fee of 50 euros till 15:00 and 75 euros after 15:00!
I am supposed to give this place 3 stars rating, but since it is in a very central place, clean and safe- which are the most important stuff for me- I give it a rating of a 4 stars. But definetly you guys have a lot of improvement to do! Overall, this place was good for me and my needs!...
Read moreFirst things first: I would not stay here again because I think that there are better options to stay with in Prague. Positive: The price was convincing and relatively cheap in comparison to other Hotels during summer break, but also because of having chosen the family room, which is not possible at other Hotels. Moreover, the room seemed to be kind of modern with a bar and a/c. Especially the area in front of the Hotel was welcoming and exchanged a balcony while getting in touch with other people, very nice idea. The Wifi was always working, even in the very last room of the Hotel. The happiest we were about the location of the Hotel, quite close to everything with a cool minigolf area close by. It's not always easy to find directly a supermarket in Prague but in the shopping centre there were various ones. Negative: The room of about 30sqm had just a little window with direction to the main street. This made the room noisy at night and a cold atmosphere during the day. The control of the a/c was not there and we had to ask two times at the reservation until they solved the problem, then, nobody explained us how to use it and the struggle kept on going. Btw, the help desk is much more beautiful inside the Hotel, still do not understand why they moved it to the beginning. Very disappointing was the breakfast but in Prague it is very difficult to find a good breakfast. The juices are sooo fake with tons of sugar, the egg tastes like nothing and only the chocolate croissants, which I expect them to buy somewhere else, are the only tasty thing. After three days we were done with the breakfast. Tipp: Make use of the exchange rate at the Hotel, it's one of the best you will find in Prague and although we couldn't use this offer, because the staff was never permitted to do so, it seems to be a nice idea...
