Hotel Residence Spalena — Hotel in Prague

There was food left from a previous guest in the hotel room, there were many ants crawling in our room but the worst part was that there was a fire around 4am in the room above us. There were over 15 firefighters outside and some inside with gasmasks, sounds of fire alarms coming from many rooms and the smell was horrible. We were shocked and afraid and decided to leave the next morning. When we spoke to the hotel about it they tried to cover it up and lied to us, they said that someone just smoked a cigarette?? This made us furious and disappointed. We used kind words to express our feelings but after getting lied to over and over again and them changing their words we could not hold it in any longer. We wanted a full refund since this behaviour is unacceptable! Before we left our room we packed all our arudd and threw all our in the bin, what the hotel decided to do was to leave a horrible review on us on the airbnb site which was full of lies. A few positives before the negatives. Great location, shopping mall 2 minute walk away and a 10 minute walk to the old town. The apartment itself was large and spacious. ||Unfortunately that's all the positives. The 'beds' are about as comfy as a park bench. Although the room itself was clean some of the pans/glasses were not fit for use as some were handles were loose or broken. They tried to charge me 20 euros aftercheck out too. After reading some of the other reviews they also charge you for using towels or cleaning up after yourselves. Neighbours doors were banging all day and night. The shower leaked even when the doors were closed which resulted in the bathroom becoming flooded and taking the whole day to dry out.||All in all if you are to stay here I wouldn't use anything and bring your own towels/linen so you aren't charged for a 'cleaning fee'. So we booked Hotel residence Spalena for our stay at Prague! The hotel is based in a good location, but unfortunately that’s the only good part about it which is completely outweighed by the risks of staying at this property! ||The receptionist was totally uncooperative and we tried hard explaining her simple questions during check in. What makes this hotel a risky place to stay is that they are thieves! They whacked off our 50 euros security deposit claiming we smoked in the room just because they thought they got a smell! And they did not bother to confront us about this assumption but simply slyly refused to refund our deposit after we checked out and reached our country!
