U Rarášků — Local services in Prague

A good place with great potential. But: a bit of smile form the servant (manager maybe) would be an advantage. I mean, it was ok, but did not feel any welcoming at all. The výčepní guy was totally cool tho. The beer and wine were fantastic, top quality tank draft and wine were both great tasting and fresh, totally recommended. However the food was slightly disappointing. As to me that was a bit overpriced given the portion, serving and the amount of the food provided. I suggest that is something that needs to be reconsidered. However the availablity of a Main Course or any solid meals would be a great advantage to this place. News to any travelers of Prague, if you want a cheap lunch in an amazing bar with great staff and beer then this is the place.

This pub was recommended to me on my list of "good bars" and I can confirm this is not a good bar but a great bar.

I know for a lot of travelers our worry is being caught in a tourist trap, I can confirm this isn't one of them.

I came here everyday on my stay for a couple of pint every evening and even came here in a couple of occasions for their Goulash soup which was really nice.

Go in ghe pub for a Pilsen on tap, and enjoy the genuine pub atmosphere, so scarce today. You are just in the very centre of Prague, in a 1700's building, drinking very carefully tapped beer, listening to the soothing sounds of your Czech codrinkers chat. Prices are for Czechs, not tourists. Staff speaks English. And they serve the half-and-half, my favourite! Go also for some small snack food with your beer, and enjoy night walk afterwards....
