Great location with a mall right next to the hotel. Short walk to the old town and the shops. Staff were friendly. We got to the hotel early but our room wasn’t ready yet, but thankfully we got to leave our luggage to the hotel until the room was available.
We were staying in the 1st floor. Room had a nice tall ceiling. Air conditioning worked well. Wifi was a bit slow. Walls weren’t too soundproof, a lot of noise came in to the room from outside, upper floors and the corridors so bring earplugs. Unfortunately the floors and tables were dirty, it seemed like it wasn’t cleaned at all. Floors had a lot of dust, dirt and human hair.
Breakfast was ok if you’re not a vegetarian or vegan. We asked for vegan options at breakfast a week before our trip. They only had soy milk behind the counter. No fresh fruits, had to ask the staff to bring some. There were a few sorts of cereal and bread, no vegan margarine, only butter. So I ate bread with jam and cereal with soy milk. Meanwhile for other ”normal” eaters there were all kinds of pastries, sausages, eggs etc. Also, the breakfast was supposed to start at 7.00 according to the room keycard holder, but when we went to eat, the staff said breakfast is from 7.30. We had booked a taxi to leave to the airport at 8.00 so we were in quite a rush to eat.
The hotel was a little slow at answering emails even though they say in their website that they have quick customer service for those who book directly from their website.
Prague was lovely, but next time I’d choose...
Read moreI have business trip in the whole EUROPE from Spain to Iceland, and the whole USA ,then Middle East,South East Asia ,every year I will stay in hotels for about 5-6 months. Yes 160-180days. Normally,I make fair comments since the comments from other guests on other hotels help me A lot .when I travel.,I stayed in Prague for 8days and tried 6 different hotels. Hilton,GRANDIOR,FLEUR,…The frontdesk lady is very kind honestly, but the hotel is not well managed. First ,when I booked ,I was told it is a 25 m2 room(standard room),but it is smaller and not well designed ,but very warm in the room. the bed light on the left is not on,although there are two buttons ,but neither is not linked with the bed light. I asked for help from the housekeeping lady ,then she did nothing but asking me to go to the frontdesk,I went to the frontdesk, but no body come to my room to help me. Finally. All by DIY. Then I move to the right side, but the right bed light is hung just on top of my head ,when I get up and stand it will hit my head anyway ,the breakfast is one of the best considering the room price, the staffs at the frontdesk and especially at the kitchen are very friendly and helpful. Only the housekeeping is not very careful, room is not cleaned up well. This hotel is much better than GRANDIOR Prague hotel nearby,I mean the staff attitude, the friendliness. GRANDIOR is for touring teams ,so May be the...
Read moreWe spent 4 lovely nights at Golden Crown hotel in Prague. The hotel is in a great location, right opposite a shopping center where you can access many shops and services (including supermarkets, restaurants and a pharmacy) and where you can see the rotating sculpture of Franz Kafka. The hotel is one minute from the main street to get public transport and 5 to 10 minutes walking to the historical center, restaurants, main sites of interests. Our room was very big, spacious and very well-lighted. We asked for the luxury superior room. It was better than in the picture: stylish, large, nicely furbished and super clean. We were also very lucky as we received the room with the balcony from Mr Roy as we had requested. The view from the 4th floor was amazing and It was also very quiet at night. The reception service was timely, professional, courteous and helpful, especially Mr Roy who provided exceptional customer services, including addressing our requests to make our stay unforgettable. We highly recommend Golden Crown Hotel and we will definitely come back here for our next...
