I mean, speechless. We made a reservation for 4 a week ago (elder couple, 3yrs old and me). When we arrived, the first thing the guy from the door says is : “No stroller inside, find a place somewhere outside. And only pizza”. That was the welcome.
Once we were inside the old lady from our table asks the waiter if they don’t have any type of pasta from their menu, which the waiter replays to her in a very rude, dry and serious face: we already told you, only pizza. (The menu outside the restaurant at the moment and online includes pasta)
After that, we decided to try another restaurant because they felt like pasta. And when we were leaving I say to another Italian waiter that went to the table after us: “thank you and sorry”. Which he -literally- replies: “thank you? Thank YOU for being a mess”
That was said to my back once I was about to leave, so I turned around to look at him, and he just stares at me back and says nothing. I was completely confused.
I live in Cph for 8 years and I have NEVER experience that level of disrespect and attitude in the SERVICE industry. We didn’t do absolutely anything, this sweet old couple are adorable and my daughter didn’t even say a word.
Important to mention, that during the 2 minutes we were sitting, we didn’t have anything besides the menus. No glasses, no cutlery, nothing. There’s no possible “mess”.
It wasn’t one person, it was the 3 of them we talked to. I felt that they want tourists to buy what they want, shut up, eat and give them the money. Highly recommend you to avoid this...

Me and my family were on a Christmas trip in Western Europe and visited Tivoli Gardens on my birthday. We enjoyed their attractions and were in a very good mood until we reached restaurant Italia and tried to have a lunch there. We sat at a table and asked for a menu. Instead we got an incredibly rude Italian waiter speaking in a broken English telling us that we can't stay at this table because he hasn't seated us. I told him to calm down and pointed to him that the restaurant is two-thirds empty therefore where we sat did not matter. That made this person even more angry. He told us that I need to wait for him outside until he seat us. Since we did not intend to freeze in the cold outside we left and went for lunch at another place. I contacted the owner of this Italian restaurant to inform him of the totally unacceptable behavior of his employees but he never wrote back. I have never been treated in such a rude way by any waiter before. That might be the custom in the rural parts of Italy from where this waiter- peasant came from but it is definitely not the way the service industry works in the civilized parts of the world. I hope that my reviews will force management to take all necessary measures to ensure that this employee is identified and fired and that the level of service is...
Read moreA Truly Disappointing Experience: One Star
My party of five recently visited this restaurant located within the Tivoli Gardens and what should have been a pleasant dinner was soured by incredibly rude service. We were a party of five, with two of our members in the middle of enjoying the rides and plan to join us shortly. We were initially seated at a six-person table, which was perfect for our needs. However, a waiter approached us and, without a moment of friendly greeting, insisted that we move to a smaller four-person table.
I politely explained that our other two guests would be arriving soon, but the waiter was unyielding and began to argue with me. Despite my explanation, he continued to demand that we move. His tone was completely unprofessional and his demeanor was hostile. It was clear that he was more concerned with the table arrangement than with providing good customer service or accommodating a simple request. We felt completely unwelcome and as customers.
A restaurant's quality isn't just about the food; it's about the entire experience. When the service is this poor, it overshadows everything else. The staff should be trained to be helpful and understanding, not confrontational. We will not be returning to this restaurant and would advise others to dine elsewhere if they expect to be treated...
