Location – 5/5
The hotel’s only advantage is its great location, just a few minutes from Copenhagen Central Station. It’s convenient for travelers, with easy access to public transport, restaurants, andshops.
Room & Cleanliness – 1/5
We booked a double room with a private bathroom, but the experience was disappointing: • Strong sewage smell upon arrival, forcing us to open the windows. • Itching during our stay, suggesting bed bugs, an issue mentioned in past reviews that the hotel still hasn’t addressed. • Overall cleanliness was poor, making the stay uncomfortable. Breakfast & Service – 1/5
Breakfast was basic (cheese, ham, yogurt, granola, etc.), but the staff’s attitude ruined the experience: • The breakfast staff, especially one woman, was consistently rude and unwelcoming. • We tried to take two sandwiches with us, since we had already paid for breakfast, but were treated like thieves. • She demanded 25 DKK per item and refused to let us take them, even after we offered to return them. • The receptionists laughed at us instead of solving the issue, making us feel disrespected. If food cannot be taken from the buffet, the hotel should clearly state this rule at check-in or in the dining area, instead of embarrassing guests. Staff & Hospitality – 2/5 Apart from the night receptionist, the staff was unhelpful and unfriendly. Instead of addressing concerns, they were either dismissive or mocked guests’ complaints. Overall Experience – 1/5 This hotel feels more like a hostel and doesn’t deserve its rating: ❌ Rooms smell bad and may have bed bugs ❌ Staff are rude and unprofessional ❌ Breakfast rules are unclear, and guests are mistreated Final Advice If you want a comfortable stay in Copenhagen, avoid this place. If you face issues at any hotel, you can file a complaint on the Hostera website. Verdict: DO...
Read moreI'm a seasoned traveller from the UK and picked this hotel as a budget option for my short city break in Copenhagen. ||Location: The hotel is perfectly located just strides from the Central Station meaning it's ideal for arriving in the city anytime time of day/night and conveniently situated for the train that takes 15 minutes to/from the airport. |The hotel is equally well located & walking distance to most tourist attractions. Just a couple of streets away you can jump on the City Sightseeing Hop On Hop Off bus. There is a 7Eleven next door drinks/snacks.||Room facilities: I had a twin room with private bathroom facing the rear court of the hotel. My room was small but was fine for a city adventure. Bathroom was a wet room & dated but equally did the job. Shower was powerful & hot, importantly. |No hot drink facilities in the room but there was a mounted hairdryer, TV, phone & hand-soap. Tip: Pack own toilettries.||Breakfast: limited continental offering fresh rolls, ham, cheese, cereals, yoghurt, salad, fresh fruit & preserves. Tea/coffee & fruit juice. You cannot take breakfast items out the dining room. You will be charged £3 to do so. ||Staff & amenities: reception staff are friendly & welcoming. They were happy to assist with my queries and always acknowledged me as I came & went. |Bike hire available at the hotel at a fee of 140DKK per day, which is about £15. Copenhagen is the friendliest and safety bike city in the world so do consider the experience. The hotel bike hire was cheaper than the independent hire shops.||Conclusion: for a budget, no thrills hotel this is a great option just to lay your head for the night when out exploring the city all day. The hotel felt safe & was conveniently located.||This is a MissionsHotel that supports...
Read moreStayed here for one night in an economy single room with a shared bathroom that cost £55 including breakfast.||The man on reception was really not bothered when I checked in – “here is your room key. Reception is open 24 hours” – that was it. No greeting, directions, mention of breakfast times or needing to see a passport or any booking confirmation. Blonde lady on reception was much friendlier when checking out.||Hotel is old and tired - worn carpets etc. Room was very small but functional – no idea where you’d put a suitcase if you were travelling with one. There were 2 shared toilets and 4 showers in the hallway on my floor. I would have preferred them to be male/female to be honest, especially if you find someone outside the door waiting to use them or men wandering around at night in towels! ||Location is handy for the main station and Tivoli (which was sadly closed when I was there in preparation for Autumn/Halloween) but it’s about 30 minutes walk to Nyhavn. Lots of Asian restaurants nearby. ||I didn’t get a great sleep as the single bed was VERY NARROW and short with only one flat square pillow. Cover was torn.||There was lots of noise in the corridor at night with doors beeping and thin walls. Room was toasty warm though with a radiator and the Wi-Fi was good.||If you’re coming from the airport, get off at the central Metro Station Kongens Nytorv. You then need to change and take the RED circle line to Central train station...
