Nestled by the lakes in Copenhagen, LAMAR provided me with an unforgettable dining experience last night. I opted for their pescetarian menu, and every aspect of the evening left a remarkable impression.

The service was impeccable, and the warm, candlelit atmosphere by the lakeside created the perfect ambience for an unforgettable dinner. The meticulous attention to detail in crafting the food made the entire dining experience truly worthwhile.

Lamar is an excellent place for reasonably-priced, delicious, and unpretentious dining.

The set menu (385 DKK for 8 servings) takes you through the full gamut of what the kitchen has to offer. Top it off with something from the excellent wine menu or one of the cocktails (I would especially recommend the sazarac).

There's just thing that would elevate this place to a 6/5: there should be a little more bread served to mop up the excellent sauces in some of the dishes. It would save me the shame of using a spoon to hoover the serving bowls.

Lovely and attentive staff, relaxed ambiente and food was delicious. We had the 7 course tasting menu 400 Dkk per person. Don't remember if you actually receive 7 plates each, as you share most of them. I think it's worth the price if you get plates with fish/meat. However, they had to adjust it for vegetarians and I think you'd be better of choosing à la carte. E.g. they had to remove the sundried tomatoes from a stracchiatella cheese as they were with anchovy infused oil, which is a bit of a pitty - that's why I have to...
