We had early reservations on a Sunday evening.
We were seated quickly. The service was professional and prompt, but felt slightly rushed. Maybe the server was new working on a slow Sunday night. Hard to tell but they seemed slightly nervous.
When suggesting that we might order another dish after our initial order, we were pushed to order more food which was a good call. However, we wanted to be a bit more leisurely with our dinner and order our second course after sampling the first one.
We ordered Greek Filo which came as a deconstruction. The flavor was decent, but not amazing. And with almost not filo, it was less than filling. The cream sauce was clean and flavorful. The spinach was well done but nothing special. All in all though, there was no hint of special flavor like mint, lemon, or garlic.
We had a squash (zucchini blossom) which was reasonable and texture wise nice, but lacked flavor except for the cream filling which was light.
The Burrata salad was honestly the highlight of the meal and offered the subtlety of flavor and texture one would expect. There were hints of orange and the whole dish came together very well.
We had Turbot and Fries for entree which the menu said was enough for two people. Maybe, with lots more starters. The Turbo was well cooked, but the flavor of the caper, butter sauce wasn't that great. Maybe it was just personal preference, but my wife and I both thought the same.
The atmosphere was amazing -- the bar was really stylish and the restrooms something to behold. I would give this restaurant another try. Maybe it was because it was Sunday night. Maybe we just didn't order the right plates or enough of them. And maybe it would be a place where it would be fun to...
Read moreI ate here yesterday evening with my boyfriend, a reservation we made a few months ago for my birthday so I was really excited about going there. To start off - the place is really beautiful. The staff is attentive and service was nice, interior and vibe is also really nice, but for a restaurant this just wasnât for me. Prices are really high considering what you receive at the table, the food tasted alright and nothing was wrong with it, but nothing special really. The flavors just wasnât there. I kind of would have expected more, and I was a bit disappointed, not gonna lie. I was also a bit bothered by the fact that our meals were served at the table within five minutes after we talked to the waitress, which kind of gives the impression they just heat up the food and have most of the food pre-made. The table next to us sent their skewers back since they were cold. They also charge you 60 DKK for normal tap water served in a normal carafe without informing you beforehand. The waitress asked if we wanted water at the table, which normally restaurants serve for free (since itâs literally tap water), we said yes and then we were surprised to see 60 DKK charged on the bill later. If we would have known the price of the tap water, we would have never ordered it cause itâs absolutely ridiculous, but I guess thatâs the way to make extra sales. Itâs an instagram-friendly restaurant and it was OK, but nothing more than that unfortunately. If you want some nice pics, then this place is for you for sure! :) this just wasnât...
Read moreI honestly donât even know where to begin. My experience at âDelfinâ was nothing short of outrageous. I donât usually leave reviews, but this time I simply canât stay silent. This was, hands down, one of the worst restaurant experiences of my life.
My friend and I ordered the crab salad and grilled prawns â both dishes were shockingly bad: oversalted, poorly made, and absolutely flavorless. And that was it. Just two simple dishes and water. Yet, we were slapped with a bill of 500 kr. Five. Hundred. Kroner. For food that was so basic, bland, and carelessly thrown together that it felt almost insulting.
But what really pushed this nightmare over the edge was the service. The waitress had the nerve to charge us 60 kr for tap water. Yes â plain tap water. On top of that, she treated us with coldness and open disdain, giving us judgmental looks throughout the meal. No smile, no basic politeness â just pure rudeness and unprofessional behavior. It made the entire experience deeply uncomfortable and left a terrible aftertaste.
We left not only angry and disappointed but also completely hungry and upset. I still canât believe I wasted my evening â and my money â on such a miserable experience.
Delfin is an overpriced, overrated disaster. I will never set foot in that place again and strongly advise everyone else to stay far, far away. Absolutely...
