I have been a fan of the food in your restaurant in Vesterbrogade for several years. I have always loved the food and have never been disappointed. I will say however I never liked the premises. But the waiters have always been nice. But tonight I had a very bad experience with 8 friends. The restaurant was very cold even after we moved tables we could not get warm. In the back of the restaurant you could smell the toilet and a strong smell of air freshener. Not suitable for a restaurant.
The staff seemed very inexperienced, confused and slow. It took a very long time to order our food. People at our table did not get served at the same time and the bread came with no food. Some of us had finished eating when others had not had their food yet. We had to ask the waiters many times where our food was. It was as if they had forgotten much of the order and the items no longer fit together. All the people in our party complained that the food was too spicy and we had not been asked about how spicy we would like it. This had never happened before. Usually we get asked. Some of us ordered wine and that wine was bad (gone off) and had to be sent back. I ordered some tea and got the wrong kind. The bill was impossible to pay as the task of dividing between 9 seemed to be something the waiters did not know how to handle. It took a very long time to sort it out. This experience has made me very reluctant to come back and I don't think any of my friends will ever come back. I am very sorry about that as I know the food is great. I hope you can make an improvement or I think you will lose a lot of customers and competition is very hard with many great restaurants nearby. I wrote to your e-mail and got no reply so now I will post...
Read moreRecently, I had the pleasure of dining at The South Indian Restaurant, a welcoming establishment that offered a delightful culinary adventure into the vibrant flavors of South Indian cuisine. My family and I were eager to explore the extensive menu and indulge in authentic dishes prepared with passion and expertise.
Our gastronomic journey began with a selection of starters that tantalized our taste buds. The Mango lassi, a refreshing blend of yogurt, mangoes,, provided a sweet and tangy burst of flavor. The mojito, with its zesty lime and minty freshness, was a refreshing choice.
Next, we embarked on a savory adventure with chicken lollipops, crunchy morsels of chicken coated in a flavorful batter and deep-fried to golden perfection. The masala dosa, a large, thin crepe made from fermented rice and lentil batter, was a culinary masterpiece. Crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, it was generously filled with potato masala, creating a harmonious blend of textures and flavors. The egg dosas, another South Indian specialty, were equally impressive, their fluffy texture and scrambled egg filling providing a satisfying contrast to the crispy dosa.
As we delved into the main courses, the Chettinad chicken masala, a fiery dish brimming with aromatic spices, while flavorful, didn't quite meet our expectations. However, the Lamb Sukka, quickly redeemed the meal. The tender lamb pieces, infused with the symphony of spices,. To complement the main courses, we opted for Butter Paronthas, fluffy roundbreads.
I appreciate the service provided by the staff. (Five Stars for the service) This restaurant is quite expensive but a good option for...

Firstly let me share my Good reviews
Had Masala dosa and onion utappam both were awesome with Coconut chutney , Kara chutney and sambar. The tastes was mind blowing and Really awesome even I didn't had before amywhere at my place (tamilnadu, india)
Briyani and kuska - chicken bryani was Good and juicy with spices where as kuska they gave same briyani and same as original madurai kuska but tastes Good. We can say that it is a plain /empty briyani which we used to say in our tamilnadu state. Chicken also cooked well.
Both Good Garlic parotta and Chappati was hot, Good and crunchy .
Veg Gravy tasted so good.
The serving staff from Nepal received and treated well actually we are not aware of pre booking reservation but she was do kin and helped. I forget and left my cellular phone in the restaurant but she taken care of that well and when I come back she returned to me. Many Thanks to her.
Now I will share my suggestion for improvement.
First of all, access to the hotel should visible and clear. Once we open the door in the street we are confused where is the hotel located and after long search we come to 1st floor. So it would be better for new comers if you putad boards showing the way in Ground floor corridor.
Both mutton chukka and Gravy given for briyani is so salty but I liked the way the mutton was cooked but could not able to eat because of too much salt so Kindly take care of it future.
Because of these 2 comments and price is little expensive at south indian point of view for me.
