Don’t go in the evening because the service is terrible.

Arrived at our reservation time, and it took 10 minutes to seat us (notwithstanding empty tables and no one in line), another 20 minutes for the waiter to take our order after picking our dishes, and another 45 minutes for food to arrive. So 1 hour and 15 minutes for food to get to the table.

Go for the dimsum.

Fresh ingredients, tasty dishes, prompt service.

Traditionally, dimsum dishes (steamed and fried) are wheeled around on a cart to be selected by diners, but here you order. No matter, the dishes came quickly. Each order has three or four of each item, and they have a wide selection of rolls, buns, dumplings, and cakes. Drink tea with your meal, not beer! You won’t find better authentic Cantonese cuisine in this part of the world (this is not Hong Kong). You can also order a variety of dishes from different Chinese cuisines.

Delicious and authentic Chinese food in Copenhagen! I have been living here over year over a year and authentic Chinese food is not a frequent find. I am from Houston, TX and used to eating authentic food in China town and this was very good with good options for all diet types. Good Dim sum options plus a full menu. We went here to celebrate my husbands birthday and all the food was delicious! Dim sum, Peking duck, noodles, We will definitely be back again. The service was very good as well. Highly recommend you have reservations here because even on a Sunday night, the restaurant was packed at 6:30pm. We made a 5pm reservation which was perfect because we got our food quickly. Dim sum is experiential food in Paris, xPasadena, or Phuket: clacking carts pushed by efficient grouchy servers; dozens of tiny dishes of steaming buns filled with surprising morsels of seafood; multiple tiny dipping sauces deftly kept away from excitable children by indulgent grandmothers; and older men, stuffed with food, fighting over the large, but still affordable check. The Royal Garden is... none of these things. While the dim sum is adequate, the restaurant does not have the customer base to create a lively, affordable, fast-paced "dim sum" experience. And the price for the waiting restlessly in the dark and silent cavern for the dishes? About 250dkk, or over 30€ pe r person....
