After visiting Dandelion twice, I feel like posting a review. Both times the burger has been disappointing, and yesterday when my friend and I ate there I was left with a stomachache. Their location is good, and I like that they have indoor seating available, but the food and service leaves a lot to be desired. The person who took our order was not welcoming, but they were quick to give us our food, which was a plus. However, my burger was partly uncooked in parts of the patty and although I saw the chef season the patties, I could not taste any seasoning whatsoever, not even salt! The buns are pretty and fluffy, but they distract from the meat, which is supposed to be their badge of honor. In fact, on their website they write at length about the quality of their ingredients, so I am surprised that what I had both times was anything but a “flavorful burger.” The primary taste stemmed from the relish, and there was a lot of it, but I don’t just want to taste the relish. It was overpowering everything else, in fact I did not notice the cheese at all, and there was a whole piece of cauliflower left in my sauce, which felt oddly out of place for a burger. I would have liked to eat something where all the ingredients are well-combined and supporting each other instead of conflicting with the integrity of the burger – the whole should be greater than the sum of its parts. In the future, I hope that Dandelion will seek to improve their food and enforce stricter kitchen control with the burgers because the experience that I had is unacceptable; food should never make you feel ill. Clearly, there must be some inconsistency in what they produce given the number of positive reviews but go at your own risk. They definitely have the resources to make excellent burgers and they seem to care about their concept, so I encourage them...
Read moreBest burger in Copenhagen at an unbeatable price.
I was born and raised in what many people consider the home of the burger, LA. I love burgers and have had the Noma Burger, had the Gasoline Grill. I got the 100dkk combo here and had one of the best burgers of my life.
The thing that separates this place on paper is that they put bone marrow in the meat. Let me tell you upfront, this works. They also do a really loose patty and then get a really good Maillard reaction on both sides of it somehow. It’s so loose it gets pushed out the backside of the bun when you take a bite.
The cheese is something like a white cheddar and they have a really good secret sauce Mayo going on. Everything else is also great: bun, fries, dip.
If you’re looking for a quick hit of joy go here on an empty stomach.
And please, Dandelion Burger, when you inevitably blow up and raise you prices… can I still get the cheeseburger combo at...
Read moreVery nice, high quality burgers. I'm personally a fan of classic cheeseburgers. This is not it, but it is a very nice alternative. There are two main reasons this is not classic: It is served only with their own mayo relish, which consists of pickled vegetables, spices and mayo. It is very good, and really offers a different take on a burger. The other reason it's not a classic burger, is the inclusion of bone marrow in the patty. I have to say, this was a bit of a let down, as I'm a huge fan of bone marrow and was looking forward to it. But I only tasted the flavour once or twice, and although I would agree that it shouldn't be too powerful, I found it lacking. French fries were well seasoned and their dip was nice. All in all a great place for a burger, and I might go there again. It's not going to be a favorite, but it's one of those things you could find yourself...
