I was the concierge at the Copenhagen Marriott back in 2012 and when I one day received news that two Swedish brothers had opened a new cocktail bar in Copenhagen, I decided to pay them a visit to see if the place was worth a visit of our guests. Needless to say, I fell in love, with the place, the cocktails and its people. Now 6 years later, it is the number one place I recommend for anyone who has a day in Copenhagen, simply because you would want to come back for a second visit. Strøm Bar has been successful in making a place that makes strangers feel at home, whilst at the same time serve drinks that has integrity, history and love in their making. We were really looking forward to coming here for cocktails. After being told we could take a seat at the bar (and being shown to said seat by the waitress) the bar man some 5 minutes later told me I’d taken someone else’s seat ( a man who he had just moved from a seated table up to the bar). Sergio made the experience unforgettable. Excellent & unique cocktails were served to us. Sergio even made a concession and served a mini cocktail for me (which was not on the menu). A good 3 hours were spent here experiencing Hygge, chatting with Sergio. We cancelled our dinner reservations and ended up going to another excellent restaurant right opposite Strom as walk-ins.
