CAFÉ DE FRANCE — Local services in Santo Domingo

This is for the owner: Cafe De France has a great location and decor. However it all goes downhill from there.

◼︎ Staff is unfriendly and has a HORRIBLE attitude. We sat at a table for at least 20 minutes. There were no other customers in the cafe. Nobody ever greeted us or took our order. The staff saw us but did nothing. A waitress finally came to our table with a major attitude, not even a greeting.

After our order was delivered, the waitress NEVER came back to our table. Two staff members were sitting in the back on their phones. The cashier rolled her eyes when we asked for the check. No wonder there were no other customers in the cafe. Cafe Roma next door was packed. Wow...

◼︎ The bathroom smells like a rat died inside the walls. The next time a homeless lady was in the bathroom washing her armpits. The bathroom needs to be fresh and ventilated

◼︎ The cakes, pastries and quiche sits in the display case ALL WEEK LONG. Oftentimes the fruit topping looks like it is spoiling.

◼︎ In closing, in a tropical climate people don't come out until after dark. Why does this place close at 8:00 pm makes no sense. Also, food is not available after 5:00 pm. Really?

◼︎ Cafe de France has so much potential. Cafe de France could make so much more money. But someone needs to care enough to do things the right way.

I used to go to this place very often to get some work done. Most of the servers are very friendly however one in particular (Luisa) is one you should watch out for. I used my card here to pay for my meal and immediately after, I was charged multiple charges totaling about $350 that I didn’t authorize. I’m still waiting on the conclusion of the investigation and an a credit card short as the card had to be sent to my home address in the US 🤦🏽‍♂️I didn’t expect this from her as we had gone out the night before with another one of the servers and she was always very friendly but unfortunately it seems there aren’t many ppl you can’t trust here (if any) as...
