ZOLA — Restaurant in Santo Domingo

The place it’s super aesthetic and visually pleasing! The food good but the dessert its definitely not their cup of tea. We got a cheese cake and a chocolate albahaca, and the cheesecake was very dry and rough, to the point it made me cough (I didn’t like it) and the Chocolate Albahaca was not as tasty or flavorful as we expected it to be. But everything else was just perfect!!! I got a Dissaronno Sour and it was delicious! My partner got a Passion Fruit Margarita and it was very good as well! The waiter Miguel De Los Santos was very attentive and nice to recommend certain things on the menu, and thankfully we listened to him!! He recommended the meatballs and the Burrata Peach one, as appetizers and it was heaven🥹🤩!

As main dishes we got the truffle Risotto which was very flavorful, but I would have preferred a little bit more in quantity to be honest!

We also got the Zola Risotto for 2 that was indeed not for 2 because of the amount, and the taste of the actual risotto wasn’t too impressive, but it wasn’t bad, it was eatable!! Even though that’s not the reaction I am looking for when I go to this kind of places to eat! To be fair, the shrimp was the only good thing about that risotto.

And we got a Ribeye Steak with a Rucula and Parmesan salad! This was REALLY good and we loved it!

In general it was a good experience because of the atmosphere there, the great service from our waiter, the amazing drinks and appetizers!

The Bathroom was a whole different experience! The male bathroom was pink! So that was quite new...

Went with a friend who was visiting. We were the only patrons sitting inside. And the food was really good. But the service was really bad and marred an otherwise wonderful dinner. One of the managers, Mr. Hamra, stopped by our table earlier and gave me his card. After dinner I sent him a message to let him know of our experience and that we wanted to return to try other items from the menu. We came back the next night. And to his credit, the experience was like you would expect. The service was exemplary, as was the food. Decided to go for a third straight night. “Sharing my recent experience – HORRIBLE 😩.

🕒 Reservation Issues: The reservation system didn’t work. We were seated at 8 PM, but the order wasn’t taken until 10 PM! ( 2 LONG HOURS ) 🙅‍♂️ Service Quality: The waitstaff was extremely slow and inattentive. 💔 Overall Experience: Without a doubt, the worst service I’ve encountered. Good crow and tasty food.
