Best art collection we saw in DR. This *free* display of a private collection of a Dominican entrepreneur is incredible. There’s no cost but a reservation is advised. Someone invested millions in renovating this space to the highest historically-respectful and architectural standards and then made it open to the public, for free. This altruistic person pays for a security guard, tour guide and other staffers full time simply to display his private art collection. The collection spans 300+ years and highlights many important Dominican artists. I saw many paintings that were reminiscent of Picasso and Dali. Not to be missed!! Photos of the art are not allowed but attached are some photos of the building. Oh…and they will serve you free refreshments!

The most exquisite spot for a private collection of Dominican Art. Casa Mella Russo, unique and well curated, very attentive staff, amazing display and decoration. I definitely recommend to visit, you won’t regret it. Hands up for the incredible space.

Un recibidor que conserva en citrinas los hallazgos en la remodelación del lugar, un museo donde se exhibe la amplia colección personal de arte de los dueños que comparten con los asistentes, y un patio maravilloso, con fuente que susurra a la luz de lad estrellas. Quedé gratamente impresionada. Las atenciones maravillosas, el ambiente y todo allí
