Museo de la Gastronomía Dominicana (Mugado) — Restaurant in Santo Domingo

Part of our Santo Domingo excursion trip included a buffet lunch at this location. Not sure of their regular menu/service but I think it could have been better on this day. For our lunch buffet we had the option of lettuce, tomato & cucumber, a macaroni’s salad, yellow and white rice, sancocho, red beans, fish, pork and drinks. Later learned that some of the individuals on the trip who ate the macaroni salad got sick that night. There was one individual that was directing people to tables. And when we sat down they already had cola and tamarind juice in iced cups to issue. Personally I do not prefer this method as I am not a cold beverage drinker. On of the waitress seemed to very objective in regards to race. Asked for a straw seemed like she ignored me and went to another lighter version couple. REALLY DISAPPOINTED. It should be ZERO STARS. TERRIBLE food when you order a la carte and EXTREMELLY EXPENSIVE for what you get. We ordered goat stew and it took more than an hour just for that dish and when we demanded it was cold inside of those 4 small pieces of meet, it seemed to have been heated in a microwave; Terrible and salty lasagna. DO NOT WASTE MONEY AND TIME; It is better to go to a restaurant in the central square where you can at least listen to live music and the food is ok. I visited Santo Domingo on August 28, 2022. They should not use that name in the restaurant because it gives the impression that this is what Dominican food is like. Espanol: Realmente decepcionada. Deberia ser cero estrellas. TERRIBLE comida cuando pides a la carta y extremadamente costosa. Pedimos Chivo estofado y se demoraron mas de una hora solo en ese plato y al reclamar lo trajeorn frio, parecia calentado en microndas; lasana terrible y salada.
