What a lovely place! The room was perfect, the courtyard beautiful, breakfast was scrumptious, and the rooftop patio a pleasant bonus. We walked down the street to el hugo for dinner which was extremely tasty and brought back some presidents to enjoy on the roof at el beaterio. The room had mini split AC so we were comfortable. In room #6 we had a king bed with a twin and patio just outside our door. We also heard from our tour guide that the property was owned by Christopher Columbus's son Diegos wife before it was a convent. Listening to the short rain storm with our door open was cool too. The staff was friendly, happy and accommodating.

Very cute and quaint hotel, cozy and relaxing spot. The vintage of the decor and the different antique paintings and artifacts brings you back. The old structure and exposed brick bring you back to the colonial age. The greenery from the plants and nature is a nice contrast to the exposed brick. The staff were very nice and very helpful. The only thing is that it doesn't have elevator, it doesn't have phones in the room, they have exposed wires inside the room, and the floors were not even with exposed tiles and bricks on the floor. The building it is an old vintage antique building, so overall it was a nice place.

Accidentally set up an AirB&B that was pretty bad outside of town to be close to the airport for friend. Called el Beaterio Casa Museo and they were able to accommodate us; we took room #4. We were treated so beautifully even though we came in at about 3/4am. The host even helped us find a parking lot, showed us how easily to get back to it, and let us get to bed. Talk about Above&Beyond. Waking up here after a great nights rest was so good. Great shower. Beautiful room with art, and history. I hope to come back here to enjoy more of the local, and yet ‘national’ history of DR. 🇩🇴

Location: Great, Service: Lacking The hotel’s location in the heart of La Zona Colonial is fantastic—perfect for exploring all the local landmarks. However, my stay was marred by a few issues with the service and overall cleanliness. I had initially planned to stay for two nights but changed it to one. I let the hotel know in advance that I would be arriving in the morning and asked about the possibility of an early check-in. They confirmed it would be fine. But when I arrived, I was told that check-in was strictly at 3 PM, and that the hotel had been fully booked the night before. This was not the case, as I knew my room had been unoccupied. It seemed like a simple miscommunication, but it led to unnecessary delays. We had to leave our bags at the hotel and wander around for four hours before getting into our room. When we finally did get to the room, it was just okay. The A/C unit looked outdated and had a moldy appearance, which was concerning. The room itself was actually quite charming, but unfortunately, it hadn’t been cleaned thoroughly. The floors hadn’t been swept or mopped, which made the long wait seem even more frustrating. While the room smelled pleasant, it was later clear that the fragrance came from an oil lamp in the corner, not because the room had been properly cleaned. On top of that, the bed sheets had visible stains. The price and location make this hotel a good deal, but based on my experience, I wouldn’t return. It’s disappointing to feel misled, especially after expecting a more...

Stayed for 2 nights. Historic building (old convent) located in the Zona Colonial, within walking distance of many attractions and restaurants. My room was fairly quiet. Good A/C. Minimal room amenities: small safe (too small for laptop), no electric kettle or minifridge. Decent desk area. Comfortable beds and pillows. Very inconveniently located power sockets: under the desk and night stand or low on the wall away from any furniture. |In the bathroom the sink was partially clogged and draining very slowly; it was eventually fixed after two requests. Shower with hot water but low pressure.|Wifi with multiple hiccups. Breakfast buffet with limited selection: excellent fresh fruit, but everything else wasn't that great. They make fresh coffee and eggs but...

We stayed at 1st floor room, it has a lot of character as in old styled building, but no actual glass window so it makes the room look like a dungeon without the natural light.

The shower is good. It has hot shower, the drain was a little slow to drain, but the host was quick to come fix.

Wifi works good outside of the room, inside of the room, not so good.

The breakfast was quite good, You can choose either fried egg, boil egg or omelet. They give you coffee, bread, cheese, ham, muffin, banana bread, chopped fruits, passion fruit juice.

Location is great! Walking distance to everything in the colonial zone.

It is also surprisingly quiet and the bed is super...
