š© To. Wael Makahleh, General Manager: This is in response to your teamās reaction to flag my negative 1-star review for Steigenberger Thai restaurant, and hiding it from public view with Google Mapsā help. By suggesting that a Google review is invalid simply because it comes from a first-time reviewer is dismissive. Every reviewer has a starting point. If you and your team can adopt a bit more empathy and consider things from a guestās perspective, it would go a long way in improving your service culture at Steigenberger Nile Palace, Luxor.
As tourists, we have nothing to gain from leaving either positive or negative reviews, whether for cruises, guides, hotels, restaurants, or cafƩs; other than to reflect the service standards we experienced and the quality of food or services received.
When feedback is negative, it is not out of malice, but rather a sincere effort to help future travellers avoid disappointment/post-consumption remorse! Similarly, positive reviews such as this for Casa di Napoli are written purely to highlight excellent experiences, so that other travellers may also enjoy what we did at the Italian restaurant.
Most, if not all, tourists work hard for their money. Our travel budgets donāt appear out of thin air, and each meal, stay, or experience has to be as meaningful as possible. This is why honest and genuine reviews are so important, they help fellow travellers make informed decisions, especially when every moment on a trip countsā¦
Great Italian food served, value for money!
šš½šš½šš½šš½šš½ As for Casa di Napoli in the Steigenberger Nile Palace Hotel, this Italian gem is an absolute must-visit!!
ā The food was so good, we returned for a second lunch in the week! Their coffee is excellent too by the way⦠A perfect spot to enjoy Italian cuisine with a view of the hotel courtyard. 3-stars for Atmosphere: Seats are not facing the Nile, but that is acceptable.
ā The service crew were courteous and attentive throughout our visit, but what truly stood out was the Chef personally stepping out of the kitchen to check in with each guest. That extra touch of hospitality reflects a genuine commitment to quality and guest satisfaction.
š” This is exactly the kind of service standard that we applaud which leaves a lasting impression. Keep it up,...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreHaving come to Luxor for special news years eve 2 day break visiting temples and hot air balloon ride on New Yearās Day we reviewed the majority of restaurants in the area and this came out one of the supposedly best which met all of our parties needs. Started well had extra person so 7 total but just stuck them at the end of a table as opposed to moving a table in an almost empty restaurant. Took quite a while to take our order starters arrived with one forgotten before the drinks. Most drinks arrived just after we finished starters but 2 had to be chased and luckily one which was a virgin cocktail for my 13yr old was caught as non virgin before it was served. The pizza chef could see that we were already less than satisfied so started sending free garlic bread etc. mains arrived In stages first 2 ribeye which were just about passable poor cuts with sinew then pasta and eventually my sons pizza and our guests chicken. Chicken was not cooked fresh and definitely a precooked reflash in kitchen. Ladies said pasta was nice. All this at a cost that of almost 8000egp or Ā£200. We did mention this and was offered a fruit platter! But after seeing the chef playing with his feet at the pizza station decided against their very kind offer. I am a believer in you pay for what you get but in this instance it fell way short of the mark. I would not recommend this restaurant at all and expected a lot more from a hotel brand of...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreOne can never expect much in Luxor, even with dishes at a few hundreds EGP. Whether Egyptian restaurants, or Chinese, all are disappointing compared with Cairoās food quality. However, Casa di Napoli felt authentic. The Italian cuisine is as good as in any European food Italian restaurant. The portions are very sizeable (could barely finish), and of good authentic Italian quality.
Carbonara pasta: 10/10 Salami pizza: 8/10, too spicy, and mozzarella slightly too creamy Quattro fromagi pizza: 10/10 All the pizzas have authentic thin crust, very good dough. Garlic bread (spelt āgarlec predā on the receipt ;-) was sizeable for the price and very good.
Overall, very satisfied about the price-quantity-quality. I would come again. And surprisingly, one of the best restaurant (gastronomically) that we visited in Cairo. Iām a fan of all Egyptian food, so I didnāt expect to say that about. This isnāt a tourist trap trying to make few bucks on transit people that would never come again. Of course I wouldnāt eat Italian everyday, I like Egyptian food too much, but this is a very nice discovery.
Highly...
