The Lantern Room Restaurant — Restaurant in Luxor City

Absolutely the worst dining experience of our lives! My husband and I went to this restaurant hoping for a nice meal, but it turned into an absolute nightmare. First of all, he found a bone in his meat—yes, a literal bone—which ended up cracking one of his teeth. We were horrified, but things only got worse from there.

Instead of acting professionally or apologetically, the owner’s brother offered to take my husband to a dentist at 11 PM—yes, 23:00 at night. That sounded incredibly suspicious, as if he was trying to hush things up instead of actually helping us. When we refused this bizarre offer, he tried to brush off our concerns with a pathetic offer of 20 bucks for the damages!

To make matters worse, one of their staff members actually had the nerve to get verbally aggressive with us. The audacity was unbelievable! It was as if they were trying to intimidate us into silence instead of taking responsibility for their obvious negligence.

The owner of the restaurant was apparently "sick" and nowhere to be found. We were initially promised some compensation (they mentioned 1,000 euros), but then the owner's brother changed his tune, claiming he had diabetes and couldn’t think clearly. It was a series of flimsy, embarrassing excuses, and the whole situation was handled unprofessionally.

This place doesn’t even have proper insurance! It’s a complete disaster waiting to happen. If you want to avoid serious issues and a total lack of accountability from the management, stay far, far away from this place. It's an absolute embarrassment of a restaurant....

This is a really fantastic restaurant which is very clean and efficiently run by the lovely Debbie.The restaurant represents excellent value for money and has a very varied menu. Here nothing is too much trouble and you are assured a warm and friendly welcome. The food is delicious and your only problem will be deciding what to choose !I would recommend the liver,fish and chicken dishes but this is a personal choice and ALL the food is tasty and well cooked. This restaurant has plenty of atmosphere and you would be wise to book as it is very popular.The Sunday roast here is a MUST but you should definitely book for this. Don't leave Luxor without visiting here or you will miss out on one of Luxor's best...

5 STARS!!! DELICIOUS FOOD!!! We were looking where to have dinner and gave this place a chance as it was very busy inside and very happy we did because the food and service was spectacular. Also nice to have a beer or glass of wine with dinner as many places dont have this option. We ordered the lentil soup & falafel for starters and Butter chicken & beef tagine for mains and everything was DELICIOUS!!! The Butter chicken was WOW! The Chef/Owner Nasser really gives attention to his craft. Nasser came to our table and talked to us about the food and was very professional. The food here is so good and flavors were incredible.
