Points for atmosphere. I waited for my pasta over an hour. Sometime in between I checked about my order from the waiter. She wasn’t at all bothered with it. She said they had one but didn’t know whose it was so they just brought it back to the kitchen. As she was walking away from my table, she said, that she will look in to it. The waiting continued. Another waiter came with two dishes which weren’t at all mine nor my friend’s. I repeated my problem and my order. He apologised and said that I would receive my pasta very soon. At the end the dish still wasn’t the one I ordered - I received the right pasta but without the chicken I ordered. The poor review isn’t just because of the incident but also because the ordering system from the counter is very inconvenient. There is always (I visited this place the second time) a big line of people waiting to place their order. I would suggest a system where people order and leave the counter to wait for the coffee and cake/other at the table so there isn’t such a long waiting period at the counter while the waiter makes the coffee and serves the cake. Read moreI recently visited this restaurant, attracted by its unique concept and cozy atmosphere. The idea of combining a bookstore with a dining experience is wonderful, and the ambiance is truly inviting. However, the positives stop there.
The staff were unfriendly and didn’t smile at all, creating an unwelcoming atmosphere. At one point, I had my phone resting against my plate, and instead of asking if I was finished, a waiter abruptly pulled the plate away, causing my phone to fall onto the table. This lack of basic courtesy was surprising and disappointing.
The wait time for a simple dish was around 20 minutes, which seemed excessive considering the food was straightforward and not à la carte. Unfortunately, the quality was average at best, and the prices were far above the Tallinn average, leaving me feeling that the meal didn’t live up to its cost.
Despite the lovely atmosphere, I wouldn’t return to this...
