Gaucho Helsinki — Restaurant in Helsinki sub-region

It was a very unique experience. Atmosphere was very cozy and the starter table was full of delicious options which I took a plate of, the spicy pulled beef stood out from the rest for me and surprisingly as well as the Caesar Salad. The hostess were friendly and provide us with recommendations. Then the show starts...

Literally a parade of food.. various chefs came with freshly grilled meat cuts.. from chicken to chuck roll and prime ribs til shrimps. Each protein carved at the table sizzling hot off the grill, the chefs explain from which part the cut came from and what kind of texture I could expect from that part. So much food... I took a few sauces to go with my meat but Gaucho garlic butter was my to go for!

We decided to take a dessert, thats when the owner came to have a chat with us.. we decided to follow her recommendation and go for each items on the menu. The fried banana really good, the lemon cake was beautifully light and fresh (a perfect ending after hefty meal) BUT my favourite was their warm cake with coconut. Accompanied with a fresh vibrant ( delicately on the border strong) caipirinha.. it was a perfect!! closing of the evening.

Wow. That's the only word I can think of.

Came here expecting a lot of meat and I wasn't disappointed. But what I didn't expect was:

The kindest and friendliest personnel I've ever met in a restaurant. Everyone seemed very knowledgeable and service minded. Everything that wasn't meat (the salad, the sides, the sauces) were SO damn good! The grilled pineapple seasoned with cinnamon and brown sugar rocked my world! The whole concept of getting your sides from the buffet and then being fed the meat fresh off a skewer while sitting at your table, and being told about the meat and how they cook it, was wonderful.

Two in our group had allergies but the waitress was very knowledgeable and took these two persons with her to the buffet and told them exactly what they could and couldn't eat which made them very happy.

The locale was a little bit noisy, but other than that it was very cozy and comfortable.

After almost two hours of eating all 6 in our group were immensely satisfied and were in complete meat comas.

This was the best restaurant experience I've ever had, and I can't wait to...

The entire service staff was just great and dedicated. The food was amazing and exactly what I hoped. Not only the meats were cooked to perfection but the sides and salad bar was heaven. We also had caipirinhas (I've been craving a real one for years now) and my partner had a red wine that they liked a lot.

I'm latina and I've had churrasco rodizio before, being so far away from home I was worried that the distance would water down the quality but it didn't! It was perfect and my partner got to experience a real churrasco without having to leave Helsinki.

The staff being so nice and friendly definitely elevated the experience, Karina (I think was her name) was delightful and every server was charming and kind. I hope the restaurant knows and appreciates what an asset they have on their servers.

My partner got the perfect birthday dinner, and then they brought a little cake with a sparkle on it at the end! I just mentioned on the reservation that it was a birthday celebration and they unexpectedly took the extra step. I'm so glad we chose El Gaucho.
