Unacceptable Experience – Nausea, Poor Quality, and High Price
We're feeling nauseated and have been for the past five hours, directly after our meal. The meat and seafood did not look fresh, which is a serious concern. We really should've checked the Google reviews before going. We visited based on old recommendations from friends who raved about this place years ago, and honestly, I had no doubts it would be great.
It makes me wonder if there's been a change in ownership, management, or even the chef, because the overall experience we had was miles away from the "very good" reputation I have heard about. Definitely not what we expected.
Beyond the quality issues, the buffet selection was disappointingly small. For €32 per person for the hotpot and grill, the price simply doesn't match the limited food options or the poor quality. While the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, communication was quite challenging because no one seemed proficient in either English or Finnish.
Spending €72 on two buffets and drinks, especially considering my 12-year-old daughter eats next to nothing, felt like an absolute waste of money. The value simply wasn't there. I can confidently say I would never, ever recommend this...
Read moreTested with the RES Q application. Ordered 4 different portions. The food was cold, (leftovers from lunch time?) and when asked to warm it up got "funny" looks. Finally they agreed to heat it up. Had to ask separately for each food. Spring rolls were soft instead of crispy and the sweet chili dip sauce like ketchup mixed with water. Fried vegetables were not really fried, it was mostly lukewarm cabbage in a watery "sauce". There were no spices in it , not even salt. I could not force myself to finish the portion even though I was really hungry. It was too soggy and tasteless. Fried chicken was OK and there was lots of it. It came with the same aforementioned dip sauce. Fried noodles was somewhat edible but to call it tasty would be a lie. We got a big box of old rice as well. The general feeling was that of eating leftovers. I feel I wasted 18 euros. I could have bought better food from a "normal" restaurant for the same money. Maybe their food is OK when its fresh, but this RES Q /leftover stuff is not recommended here. The service was also not very friendly. So the "Happy" part did not really...
Read moreHot pot and bbq are decent. The space and tables are nice. However, we were not "happy" to dine at Happy Food Garden. We paid 27,80€ each for hotpot and bbq buffet. The food wasn't full on the tray, which made us feel uncomfortable to take. They hardly fill up the food and other items like ice unless I told them to, and they would bring a very small amount just enough for us to take once. One more thing about the attitude of the waiters, they kept looking and pointing at us and talking with each other while we was taking the food, which is considered to be very rude. The restaurant opens until 10 pm. However, at 8pm they had already taken away all the coffee and tea. And right when we just put down the chopsticks, the waiter came and asked to clean, I thought he would clean the empty dishes, he took our hotpots away too! It is normal for a buffet restaurant to take away used dishes, but you should wait till they leave to clean totally, because cleaning up everything is considered as expelling customers. My friend and I...
