Bar Loose — Restaurant in Helsinki sub-region

I was in Bar Loose to attend Swallow The Sun's book presentation. I didn't know anything about Bar Loose before but after visiting it, I can say that it is a really good location for a band to have a smaller gig and for fans to meet up. The atmosphere was lovely and cosy, bar area was really well managed, the cloakroom or wardrobe area was working very well and there were almost no queues and the security guy was friendly. My friend was sitting down outside on the terrace holding a drink of his girlfriend. The bouncer came in and took the can from his hand and threw the drink to the street and, in my experience, basically told us to screw off rather aggressively. I felt the service was terrible and just scattered us away. I understand that you cannot have your own drinks in certain areas, but you could have simply told us to leave or asked us to leave the drink there instead of taking it away and throwing it...

They insisted I'd pay a wardrobe fee even as I didn't deposit anything. Also, the wardrobe's card machine was broken so my I had to ask the bartender for an extra 3,5€ in cash when ordering. To go back and pay in person. For nothing. 😁

I was there on a Saturday, but left too early to be an eligible/fair party judge. Met some nice regulars though. They said that downstairs in the late hours was about as good as HKI clubbing gets, more or less.
