I have always been a lover of pizza and a special friend of the Neapolitan style for many years ever since spending time in Naples. I found out about this place and the first visit was great. I assumed I found my new go-to favourite so I came a couple more times, but with each visit something was wrong with the food. Sometimes the base was underdone from one side, some times the pepperoni was unevenly thick and thin all over the place. Each time I thought it must just be a little and unnocited mistake but it's still good enough. The last nail in the coffin was when I had been unsatisfied with how much oil the pizza had, so I came and asked for one with no oil. They must have thought I asked for extra oil, because it was swimming in it and they had added olives too. Normally I could easily even go for a second Neapolitan pizza, but this time I couldn't even finish one...I thought oh well, another bad day, but ever since that (several weeks ago), I haven't even wanted any pizza anywhere anymore.
For a place that prides itself with the best Neapolitan pizza, they did an unfortunately good job of ruining my taste for all pizza...and I so wished we could...
Read moreWe stumbled onto this place by chance. It's open till late hours on Saturday and has a cozy vibe.
The staff are friendly but service is a little slow. It took a long time for our orders to be collected, for the pizza to be cooked and served and also for the bill to arrive. Pizza prices are about 1-2 euro more expensive than the other authentic Italian pizza haunts that my friends and I usually visit (eg. Via Tribunali). I intentionally ordered the Diavola pizza which is available at all my other favorite pizza haunts so that I could make a comparison.
Taste wise, the pizza has generous servings of cheese which I enjoy but the pizza texture is softer and more soggy which makes it a little messy to cut up and eat. The meat and sauce are lighter in flavor that my other pizza haunts.
Their glögi is slightly cheaper than the ones sold at the Christmas market so it's a good deal to order one with your pizza.
This place is great for a late night pizza dinner on the weekends when most shops...
Read moreAfter the flight I was really hungry and this restaurant was the first one that was open. Since it was Sunday I didn't wanted to risk, entered the place and ordered pizza al ragu and cola. I have received my pizza relatively fast, however the dough was quite raw, insufficiently baked and the cheese was not molten, but rather hard. At first I have eaten at least one quarter of a pizza, but then my stomach became quite heavy. I made a break, looked at my smartphone, so that my digestion starts working again. Took another bite and made a break again. At that moment comes the main waitress and asks me if I eat or "taking my time". It seemed to me that I need to hurry up with the other half+ of the pizza. Not to mention that a smile is an abstract noun for this person. Although the restaurant was quite empty she came to hurry me up. Finally, after I paid a receipt came out from the terminal, and I was asked if I need a receipt. Well of course I need it, how can I otherwise ask...
