Confusing dessert charge
I visited the restaurant with my friend who was craving for a pizza at Pizza Hut. Meanwhile I'm not a fan of pizza and already had a full late lunch meal, so I want some dessert. I ordered a donut because they don't have the cake. Got a great donut and service. However, a waitor brought another donut to our table due to mistake and the staff insisted we can have it. Now it's confusing to us, but my friend took the second donut anyway. Now I have questions to the restaurant: We don't order the 2nd donut, if it brought to the table by mistake. You have a chance to bring it away immediately. Why it's there on our table? If the customer consumes the donut, who gonna pay for that mistake donut?
In the end, I got charge 4.4€ for donut out of the blue. The money is tiny but I don't like how the restaurant handled the situation yesterday.
Please train the staffs and have some proper training in the service. People dining out because of the service and the food. I don't like to be charged without any proper explanation.
TLDR: staff bring extra food by mistake, staff insisted us to finish the extra food and charge me without proper explanation. I don't like the manner.
P.S: before writing this review, I check the Pizza Hut menu online. I used to work as a shift manager for a restaurant that host average 300 customers daily and up to thousands customers (when we run campaigns or promotions). I do know how to offer a great service to customers. I hope Pizza Hut can improve its service and attract more customers...
Read moreVisit on 26/12/24. The food is fine- its pizza hut, but our waiter was really rude and judgey.
He shamed me for ordering a large pizza, even though I planned on taking the leftovers home, and insisted I shared with someone else at the table? It was so bizarre- we were adults at a restaurant, we should be allowed to have what we want! And secondly, why are you trying to convince us to spend less money here?
He also didn't want us to order wine for some reason. He tried to take the wine list before we'd ordered.
I think because we were speaking English he assumed we were tourists, so when we asked if one of the wines came in a bottle, he started ranting about how expensive it would be in Finland, as if this was our first day in Finland? (I've lived here six years and the other English speaker at our table fifteen!) I've also never before met a waiter who expected us to Google and price-check wines before ordering?! It just came across as patronising and xenophobic.
We ordered soft drinks and went elsewhere for wine afterwards. I don't know what this guys problem was, but we'll probably avoid...
Read moreWe went for the lunch buffet while in port fir the day. But mistake. The salad bar was almost empty and so were the four types of pizza on he buffet. I had to tell the receptionist there wasn't any food, although they made us pre pay for the buffet. Then, they replenished only half the salad bar. They did not replenish any prepared salads at any time during our visit. They also only had two types of salad dressing, a garlic and a french selection. The board outside advertised an Italian salad and when I asked for italian dressing they said they didn't carry it and it wasn't on the menu. But, they leave it in the menu board outside before you enter and pre pay. They didn't have pasta or breadstuffs on he buffet, which us standard in the U.S. But, they did have mushroom soup. The staff was uncaring and unhelpful. I'm going to complain to the Pizza Hut corporation. This place needs...
