As a Hongkonger, since we have a lot of Vietnamese restaurants in Hong Kong and a bowl of Pho costs around €6-€8, I'm staying at the hotel which is right above them therefore I walked pass this restaurant everyday during my stay and noticed a bowl of Pho costs €15.50, and that's what drives me away. However I just came back to Helsinki today from Tallinn Estonia and didn't manage to have dinner, I was exhausted and hungry and all restaurants around were closed so I have no choice but went to this restaurant to have some food. I arrived just 15mins before their closing time but they still willing to serve me which I'm really grateful about that. And when my Beef Pho arrives, I understood immediately why the price is expensive, the size is at least double of what you get in Hong Kong, and in Hong Kong most likely you'll only get 4-5 thin slices of beef in the Pho, but the one here is full of beef! The most important thing is, it's authentic and very delicious, I finished the whole thing within 10 minutes without a single drop of soup left over, however if they add some bean sprouts in the pho it would be even better. It's worth every single Euro. I know a lot of Asian travellers might have the same thought with me about the price, but I would recommend them to try it whenever they're...
Read morePhở Việt is a Vietnamese eatery located in the Kamppi area, is an appealing choice for those seeking Vietnamese cuisine. During the summer, customers can enjoy outdoor seating instead of being indoors. The staff here are quite prompt and enthusiastic. The menu is diverse and flavorsome, although options for vegetarians might be somewhat limited. The food portions are indeed quite generous so that I can hardly finished my dishes. One of my personal favorites is the Beef fried rice, though I don't have a specific photo, I genuinely enjoy the beef fried rice here. Additionally, Phở and spring rolls are also delicious if you're keen to try them. However, there are a few areas that could be improved upon. The owner scolding the staff in front of customers can be uncomfortable. Furthermore, the fire alarm often goes off due to the cooking in the kitchen, which can be bothersome for some diners. Currently, due to my change in residence, I haven't been frequenting the place as much. Phở Việt is no longer my go-to spot for Vietnamese cuisine cause I found another place. But overall, Phở Việt is an interesting spot to visit if you're in the central Helsinki area and craving...
Read moreThe location is pretty close to Kamppi, it's better to walk than use your car to go there. This place isn't that big, so if you get to bring your baby carriage, it ain't gonna be that easy. It's always full of people, that means their food is good. Price is okay, the tip that I would give you is.. to buy a soup dish and a rice, ask for a spare plate and bowl then you can both share with the dishes. If you will only eat one dish for yourself, uh-uh , I'm telling you ain't getting what you supposed to get. This is also a serve your own self kind of thing, you need to get your own stuffs, like cups and water container 🫙, spoons/fork/ or if you can use that chopsticks 🥢 then better show off them skillzzz sister! then you gotta get them lemons and chillis to make your own taste of sauce. Don't forget them table napkins. This ain't a CAYGO restaurant, so you fix your dishes on the table afterwards then off you can go. Hope ya learned something from me. Now don't forget...
