Ravintola Ilves — Restaurant in Helsinki sub-region

This place has more of a bistro-bar vibe relaxed and welcoming. The atmosphere inside was pleasant and the service was excellent.

We had a 3 course meal. All of the course meal was fantastic, and it was a lovely gesture that the chef personally brought some of the dishes to our table. 👨‍🍳

The cocktails were amazing, and the waitress who served us recommended a pairing wine, which was a wonderful touch. Their wine selection is impressive, and everything was neat and clean.

They also have board games and playing cards which is additional fun thing to do after a relaxing meal.

The only minor downside was that the door was kept open during our visit, which made it a little louder at times. However, the environment was still very comfortable and it was easy to hold a conversation without having to raise our voices.

The starters were excellent, and the beef tartare was my personal favorite, definitely a must-try. The location is also very convenient, just a two to three minute walk from Kamppi metro station. Overall, a wonderful experience and highly recommended. ✨✨✨🥰 Will come...

This was my second time at Ilves and it was just as good as the first! At first I was disappointed the famous Elk burger wasn't on the menu. But it's a seasonal item - not available in the Summer. Hard to blame a restaurant for not cooking a dish they don't have the ingredients for. Hungry for a burger, I went with the Angus burger.

Oh my goodness, this place knows how to do burgers. The meat is perfectly pink/red all the way through, and juicy as heck. They put leafy greens and a green semi spicy sauce on, with onions. All great. The bun is smaller than the burger, with a nice brown exterior and a soft middle. Buns should ALWAYS be smaller than the main attraction, people.

Magnificent.

Their fries are crispy but otherwise standard. Wine pours are generous and reasonably priced.

The service was friendly, and the meal came out in 10 minutes or so.

What's not to like here? It's all good. Go here if you find yourself...

They were trying a new menu while we were there. It suited the atmosphere and it was reasonably priced. I enjoy restaurant Ilves especially since they do not play any background music. A menu towards the more fine dining end of things is a welcomed bonus. There is nothing wrong with eating things from the previous selection either. The service is friendly. Going the without a reservation might lead to a waiting time during the prime time. That should not come...
