On a trip from Nice to Marseille, I decided for a little stop in Cannes and to eat something at Fouquet's. Unfortunatelly that was not the best decision I have ever made. First of all, I booked a table in advance. With my booking i should receive a glass of champagne on arrival. I received my glass of champagne, but only after the main course and only after asking two or three times. Next the food. I decided to go for the Lunch selection which includes one of three main courses, a dessert and a coffee. I chose the Fish and Chips as the main course. At another place, the quality of the food would have been good enough, but at this place, I expected a little bit more. The creamed peas were a little bit to oily for my taste and the fish-batter was not really crispy and I expected it to be crispy. At least the potatoes were crispy and good. For the dessert I was offered four choices. I chose the mille-feuille, but was served the raspberry-tarte. I did not mind, because it looked (and was) delicious and would have been my second choice anyways. All in all, my expectations were not really met. I also kind of felt wrong at this place. Why? I can not really tell, I just felt like it.

Oh my...where do I even start! We booked this hotel very very last minute (less than 24hr before we showed up, no jokes), and we were a group of 27 colleagues. We had a 2-day conference at the hotel and went for lunch at the Fouquet for the 2 days - I died. This is quite simply some of the very best food I’ve eaten in a Very long time! Plus - every single dish was spot on for all 27 of us! That’s so hard to achieve. Oh- and they still had the time to customize the menus for us with our company’s logo and everything!! It was crazy. And the waiting team? Absolutely impeccable. We had a few (more) last minute annoying changes and they were all super accommodating and friendly. I would totally and literally just come back to Cannes to eat here again. You cannot go to Cannes and not here!!! You’re missing out big time otherwise :)

The worst restaurant I have ever been to in France. from the moment we entered this restaurant, no one could take us to a table and we remained in the middle of the hall just waiting. the restaurant manager ran up to us and began waving his arms so that we ourselves found a table and sat down. we did so. it was a late dinner. and not one worker moved my chair so that I could sit down. we didn't have a table reservation and would like to spend more of the evening outside at the Paradiso restaurant. we were denied. but after us came another couple who were also refused. but then they were transferred to Paradiso after all. we ordered a bottle of wine and salads. the salads are terribly tasteless, I couldn't even eat my caesar salad. The sauce was very mustard, the chicken was greasy, the lettuce was not fresh. But most of all I was shocked by the service in the restaurant. No one even poured wine into our wine glasses when they were empty. Can you imagine? And the waiters saw me pouring the wine myself. And no one offered to help. And no one even asked why I didn't finish my salad. And all the restaurant workers were busy cleaning tables and preparing for new customers. Super disappointment of our holiday. Totally do...
