Worst experience ever. I hardly comment but I really have to say something about this restaurant.
After scanning the covid pass, we were seated in covered patio with heater. We waited for 20 minutes and no one came to serve. Finally the waiter came. We ordered a bottle of wine and two cocktails and the waiter left without saying anything.
After some time the waiter came and opened the wine. We also want to order some snacks because it's already 22:30 before the new year. The waiter then said, "You must order food(entries) if you want to sit this table." Otherwise, we must sit outside(in winter). We were surprised because we were not told about this during the 40 minutes waiting. The waiter then rudely forced us to sit outside with several tables empty in the patio.
We were very unhappy because the waiter did not tell us and sat us in the wrong table. And there were also people only drinking at their tables in the patio. We did not agree to sit outside and the manager asked us to pay for the drinks and leave. We argued and then the waiter asked me, “what’s wrong with you? You want to fight?”
I was shocked by this. How can people be so rude and arrogant with THEIR mistakes?
You definitely should to avoid this poor management and arrogant service. They just don’t know how to respect the customers.
EDIT(in response to the owner): Le restaurant été complet ce soir là , à votre arrivée vous étiez quatre et vous nous avez demandé si c'était possible de dîner dans notre restaurant . There are 10 tables in the patio and only 3 tables were seated on the new year's eve. That's why we choose to came in because all the neighbor restaurant were full(how could we not be warned of this...). We did NOT come in to ask for dinner. NO ONE explained to us and it's YOUR responsibility to understand the customer's need before seating them, right?
We waited for 20 minutes until the waiter came. The first thing we said was, as you mentioned, WE WILL NOT EAT AND WE WANT A BOTTLE OF WINE AND TWO COCKTAILS. Isn't that clear that we only want to drink? How could you seat us in the wrong table and not explaining to us? Oh, he is the head waiter? Is he the one that asked me for a fight?
Celui ci vous à fait comprendre que vous lui aviez menti en arrivant et que d'autres personnes attendaient pour manger. There were two people only drinking at their table. How could you treat people differently based on your assumption? Why would I lie about this??? In order to be seated in the patio???
From the restaurant's reply, you can see who is arrogant...The restaurant just asked the customer to pay for the wine and leave for their mistake, no customer service and apologies. And this is how they do business,...
Read moreIf you are a person with a disability, love someone who is disabled, or believe in human rights and basic decency, do NOT support this restaurant! This evening I experienced blatant, brutal discrimination from a woman I was told by other staff is the Owner. I have a disability and use a mobility scooter. I'm also a Senior and a woman. I'm vacationing solo in Paris.
The restaurant had an accessible, level entrance so I rode inside. I could see that the staff were very busy so I moved out of the way and waited. The woman who was purportedly the Owner came over and tried to tell me to sit at a completely inappropriate table that was right in the flow of traffic. A table she would never have offered to a non-disabled customer. She pulled one of the chairs away for my scooter. I explained that I would get off the scooter and sit in the chair.
But she wouldn't listen and the next thing I knew she had gotten a male wait staff and he started dragging my scooter away. I stopped him and demonstrated that my scooter folds up quite small. Then I rolled it under the table edge, so it took up less room than the chair that had been there previously. But the Owner didn't like it and keep telling me I couldn't have it at the table. I've keep it with me in every restaurant I've been in since I bought it new.
While all that was going on, the Owner kept pointing at me and then at the other chair at the table. In a demanding voice she repeatedly said, "You, sit!" I could see that there was not enough room between that chair and the one at the next table for me to sit there. And if I did manage to squeeze in, none of the wait staff would have been able to get by to serve that part of the room. Again, she would not listen and didn't make any attempt to get one of her staff who speaks English to interpret.
Instead, she just kept telling me I couldn't have my scooter there, then pointing her finger at me and loudly saying, "You, sit!" In front of the whole dining area full of people. Finally I'd had enough and I said, "Don't speak to me as if I'm your dog! I'm a person!" Then unfolded my scooter and rode out of the restaurant.
I am able to stand for brief periods and take a few steps. But doing so causes me pain. My pain level had significantly increased by the time I left the restaurant.
It's obvious that the owner would never speak to her non-disabled customers that way or she wouldn't have any. Nor would she attempt to control them the way she did me. This was a clear case of her treating me differently and disrespectfully because of my disability. A place deserving of the...
