Delicious pastries (I like their viennoise au chocolat) and bread and a wide variety of snacks, breakfast and quick-lunch menus have made this place popular with locals and tourists alike. It's cheaper if you buy drinks to go, but the cups rather small. (I guess we're used to the bigger sizing of a certain coffee shop chain.) Service is nice and friendly. The first morning in Paris we had breakfast there. It was really good and the waitresses were nice. The second day it seemed like the waitresses of that day were having a bad day; they talked to use rudely and complaining in french about tourists and other costumers (I know that because I could understand it). I’ve been living around the quartier for a while now. The service was horrible, 3 times out of 5 I got pissed by the services. Today I got in to get two pain au raisons, the waitress slides the bag on the counter too hard that it directly dropped on the ground. They didn’t even say sorry.
