Service was the worst I’ve had in my life. Not just Paris. I’ve been to Paris about 20 times. Have always been treated well. Got my first round of beverages. Demanded payment. Even though I told her I would be ordering lunch. I paid anyway. Took 30 minutes to try to order lunch. She’d either ignore me or acknowledge me with eye contact then nothing. Finally I just gave up. (Note A male server placed someone else’s espresso on my table. Saw him do it to another table too.)
I Went to bathroom. As I was leaving a male waiter demanded payment. Told him I already paid the female server. And started walking. He then grabbed my arm - forcefully. He caused pain. And he said “show me!!” I walked to table where the waitress was having lunch and pointed at her. It should be noted that I dress extremely well: gorgeous linen dress and espadrilles, amazing purse. Do yourself a favor and do not dine here. If you do dine there, get one of the black servers. I saw they treated everyone...
Read moreWe visited on a Saturday to enjoy a coffee and an aperitif. Ordered 2 Campari sodas and 2 coffees - one Americano and one iced americano. Only the iced coffee arrived to the table, an iced frappe was delivered as opposed to an iced americano. (Sugar content is vastly different), the second coffee never arrived. Our campari sodas were brought to the table in wine glasses with very low carbonated soda delivered on the side in a carafe. One of them was cracked and chipped with the crack in extending into the vessel approx 3 cm. When requesting the bill we were charged 12 euro for each Campari soda when Campari was listed on the menu as 5 euro. When we asked why, they said it’s because we ordered the equivalent of a gin and tonic and was considered a cocktail. Despite campari being a liqueur and lower alcohol than a spirit. Essentially we were charged 7 euro for a carafe of soda water, this whole experience was a complete waste of money. TLDR: tourist trap looking to...
Read moreGood food and location …but horrible service. As an American living in Paris, I often defend the bad reputation of Parisian restaurants…but unfortunately, this was by far the worst service I’ve ever had. Every question asked, related to the menu or the bathroom was met with a cold annoyance. When my Cuban friend asked a question in French, the waiter claimed to only speak… English. When we overheard him speaking perfect French, she asked him why…and he simply said, “oh…ça vous a dérangé?”Our two glasses remained empty for about 10 minutes…maybe upset that she didn’t eat with me. The place was half empty…and our bill was 75 euros. The crazy thing was that all 4 employees, including the bartender were all young and equally disagreeable but most of all the tall, pale guy. I thought it was just the classic tourist traps. Well...
