Revisiting after 2 years. They still maintain the same high quality ingredients and dedication to food preparation.
This time tried their beef filet and sole meunière again. They each comes with a side dish, French fries and zucchini with roasted cherry tomatoes. The beef filet is perfectly executed. Tender and juicy. The French fries, OMG, it is hands down the best French fries I have ever had. It is homemade, crispy and with a strong aroma of the potato itself, unlike the batch made fries that comes from a factory. I never liked zucchini, but the way they make it comes with a bit of a crunchy texture and the cherry tomato is super juicy and flavorful. I actually enjoyed it a lot! The sole meunière is good, but not as amazing as I remembered, probably because it is under seasoned. But that is not a deal breaker, it is better than overly salted! And the fish is fresh and tender as before. So I am very happy with the dish.
And they offered fresh made madelene after the meal. I love the madelene and since it is freshly made, it still has that slight crunchy texture at the edge. I love it!
And strongly recommend the escargots. It is as “gros” as they described and so well seasoned!
I hope that in today’s market, there will always be room for restaurants like this who is dedicated to make things from the scratch in house. Otherwise we’d only be left with restaurants that process half-made food.

Really, I think the chefs at the restaurants are masters of cooking techniques, from the entries to desserts.
I had the sole meunière, and the it is perfect from every detail, the color is beautiful. The browned butter is perfectly nutty, not undercooked, not overbrowned, just perfect. and they use just the right amount of butter so the sole is juicy and tender but not greasy.
The floating island dessert is impressive. They thoughtfully used cold dish to serve it. This single dish is the ultimate test of the chefs skills on temperature. The chefs are no doubt the master of sugar 👍
Most importantly, their service cannot be any better. I feel taken care...
Read moreIf I could rate this restaurant less than one star I would. Having eaten here three or four times previously, I was super excited to eat in again what was my favouirte restaurant in Paris. Very sad to say this is no longer the truth, in fact I would call in the worst restaurant in Paris for its rude and insulting staff. I ordered the snails, only to send them back as arrived at the table cold. They arrived back again 'Luke warm' at best, when the waiter arrived to take plates away and ask how was the starter, I honestly told him they were still not warm enough and the sauce the snails were in, was more like a gloopy french salad dressing, than what I would expect. I was rudely informed the 'locals prefer this way of eating snails and only a small percentage of customers like it with garlic butter!' This was of course after he leant across me and my meal picked up a piece of bread, dunked it in the remaining sauce on my plate, ate it and declared 'there is nothing wrong with that sauce, but for arguments sake we will take it off the bill'. At that point I was ready to leave, however my husband talked me down. Then arrive the main courses - I had ordered beef tenderloin and I recieved the chewest, toughest piece of meat I have ever eaten. Once again our waiter arrived at the table to ask how was the food? Before I could even respond he mimicked me in a high pitch voice 'to cold again' before walking away laughing. I literally could not believe my eyes or ears. To say I was done, was an understatement. The waiter then reaproached our table filling up my wine glass and stating that this glass of wine is on me, for how I just acted. Unfortunately there wasn't enough wine in the world to make me stay. I asked for a manager to be told he was the manager, after 20 more minutes of him arguing with me the customer, finally delivered the bill and €60 later with two untouched main courses and full wine glasses we left the restaurant shocked and appalled. Disgusting service from a truly disgusting individual. I would HIGHLY recommend you avoid this restaurant...

Despite a few negative reviews, I trusted the Michelin reputation and made a reservation. However, the hospitality wasn't welcoming from the start, and as someone who has experienced Michelin 3-star dining and explored even local, humble eateries,, I generally appreciate good food and understand a restaurant's vibe well. Yet, this place didn't leave me with a positive feeling from the moment I walked in.
We ordered escargot, veal stew, and duck menu. Despite the Escargot being generously sized and tender, the sauce didn't quite appeal to us. And to our surprise, found an odd piece of baguette after requesting butter. Reluctantly, I called the waiter due to their constant and somewhat hostile glances. They apologized with “sorry” very briefly but seemed intent on taking the bread away without explanation. I refused and took a photo of the peculiar bread chunk.
Feeling extremely uncomfortable and fearing nausea if we continued, we expressed our desire to stop dining, settled the bill for what we had eaten, and left. The last waiter, possibly a manager, seemed visibly surprised when she saw the peculiar bread.
The situation felt quite perplexing and having traveled globally for food tours and studied abroad, I objectively believe that this experience falls under racial discrimination.
Overall, it was the most unfriendly restaurant I've ever been to, and I have no desire to...
