The overall experience at chez bebert was negative. We were 4 and we went to break the fast at saturday night. The waiting in the line was long. It took us around 2h from the time we started waiting to the time we started eating. The organization is not the best and the line was in chaos. The cutleries were not clean even after changing several times (some traces of old food were present). The servers made us feel wrong when asking to change them (some of us were really apologizing for asking!). We wanted to order 3 expensive big plates for 4 people for sharing (instead of 4 cheaper ones because the meat is mixed type and more variable in these larger plates), however the servers refused and said their is minimum main plate ordering per person. We ordered three couscous plates and two harira soup. The order arrived in the form of all couscous and harira of different orders are mixed with each other. After seeing that the quantity of the couscous and vegetables like for 1.5 person and not for 3, we asked and we have been informed that these plates you can eat as much as u can (because of this i put 2 stars). Two of us didnot like the harira at all while personally i found it average. Concerning the meat that accompany the couscous, it was mostly cold (they did not light the hotplate underneath). We really liked the merguez and to a less extent the meshwi lamb. When we wanted the extra couscous and the vegetables, it took ages for them to bring. The price of 3 couscous and 2 harira was 87 euros. We had also trouble during payment during which the server kind of humiliated us and made us feel uncomfortable. Basically for two of us we payed 38 euros by carte restaurant then remaining 5.5 euros to pay by other credit card. He refused to take a payment of 5.5 euros telling his charges on transaction are more and blaming us for making this payment strategy. Briefly, the food was OK. The general atmosphere is not bad but the cleaniness and the service as well as quality/price was not good if i dont want to say horrible for the service. Personally it was the first and difinitively the last time I try...
This is the worst experience in my life in terms of being discriminated in a restaurant. Agresive treatment that may sour all your food and I really wonder how the manager of this place keeps this level of interaction with clients. If you support respect for people as a basic thing as a customer may be do not attend to this restaurant. I understand owners want to make money but poor behaviors and lack of respect for customers for what they order and three times trying to order waisting your time is too much! Also forcing clients to order a plate for people that want to share with you but can not ask for full plate as they are alergic but want to share dinner with us. Incredible and almost primitive for a cosmopolitan...
Read moreWell, to be honest, the food is pretty good and comes in great quantities for families and pairs. But, the service offered is easily the worst part of the restaurant. Pratically every single waiter just ignored us by the fact we're from another country(Brasil, and they knew that since when we entered the restaurant the waiters started to comment about it). By the end of our visit, we called the manager to talk about the quality(or lack of it) provided by the people who work here. We wanted to complain about it, he answered: "no, no, no. Our service is good, look!"(pointing at the bottle of water who they give to everyone, like its somehow connected to the waiters and their service) and walked away. Summering it up, if you arent from France, prepare for a bad time in here. But, again, the food is great! (OBS: none of the waiters speak english, not complaining, but still...
