We stumbled across Galette after a museum on our first day in Paris and were blown away by how amazing the crepes were, they are a 10/10, the atmosphere was great and the service was very good. We were only in Paris for 2 days and on our second day we decided to visit again since the crepes were next level (savory is amazing, but the sweet are remarkable), when we arrived, there was about a 5 minute wait (it's small but they have a good amount of tables). We had the same servers as our first day, and it was pretty busy so they came to take our orders pretty fast which was fine because we knew what we wanted (our first day one of us just got sweet and my other friend and I got our own savory and shared one sweet) this time we just wanted sweet, keep in mind the sweet crepes we ordered were about the same price as the savory and we also ordered coffees (which made it the same price as one savory crepe). Once the first person in our group ordered a sweet crepe, our server said that we need to leave if we are not getting savory crepes and we were confused by this since they hadn't said anything by the door, and she went on to explain that they are too busy to only be serving dessert, so we started getting up to leave because we did not come for savory crepes and it was not in my budget to get two 11 euro crepes for one meal, once we started to get up she took back what she said and let us stay. They brought out our food, and while we were eating two French people sat next to us (we are American study abroad students) and they only ordered sweet crepes with no drinks and did not get hassled at all she also brought everyone free tap water and did not bring us any. Once we were done, the same server approaches us and says "can I kick you guys out now?" and I say "sure" and handed her my card, we couldn't wait to get out of there as it was all very weird, she then said she recognized us from yesterday and is sorry it's just very busy and we stole a table from other people waiting? There was only one group outside and they had only been waiting 10 minutes, meanwhile there were two big tables of French people just sipping on drinks spanning before we were sat to even after we left. The salted caramel crepes with apples and whipped cream are to die for, besides the strangeness I would still come back and highly recommend...
Read moreThis is a good place to come to if you desire a savory buckwheat galette or a sweet crepe. We walked past here and enquired about a table for four. We were seated immediately and proceeded to order two savory galettes and two dessert crepes. The waiter gave us some attitude about the crepes ("you know these are dessert, correct"), so depending on your frame of mind, this was either rude and unnecessary or just a free taste of the rumored Parisian snobbishness. Nonetheless, the galettes were very very tasty and the food came out quickly. The service staff hustled and turned tables (it is a small place), and for the type of place it was, it hit the spot exactly. Would go back again for a quick and...
Read moreTucked away in the heart of the city, this delightful French restaurant turned out to be an absolute gem. I’ll admit—I was a little hesitant to order crêpes at first, unsure if they’d live up to the hype. But from the moment I walked in, the gracious and welcoming staff put me at ease. Their warm hospitality and expert recommendations made the experience even more enjoyable.
And the food? Simply exquisite. The crêpes were perfectly light, delicately crisp on the edges, and filled with the most delightful flavors. Whether savory or sweet, each bite was a testament to the chef’s skill and passion.
So glad we picked this spot—it truly made for an unforgettable meal! Would gladly return in...
