Okay so initially I reviewed the wrong place. I reviewed the bigger and more popular gusto across the way. The smaller one is the one we actually went to. So let’s redo this review!
First and foremost the staff were incredible (Vivienne and another lovely lady whose name I cannot remember so sorry ).
I truly truly love this place and now when I think of Paris I will forever think of here which is funny because it’s not Parisian, oh well.
The food was honestly the best, the burrata and Parma pizza was honestly the most sensational pizza I’ve ever eaten. The only thing I would say is a bit of arugula on top would’ve taken it to god tier. Although I suppose that’s too much power for one restaurant to hold.
We got a complimentary starter of veggies which were out of this world. Everything was cooked perfectly.
Now let’s get onto the coffee… this coffee was so outstanding that I didn’t even require sugar. None. It was so smooth. My husband usually takes more sugar than coffee and even he agreed that it didn’t need anything additional. It was so good that even my beautiful clothes decided they needed to try it and I spilled it all over myself (blind girl problems I guess or maybe just general clumsiness)!
I cannot wait to come back and visit one day. I’d come back to Paris only for this restaurant.
Also 90% sure the chef heard me say that I wish I could be his friend because having a friend with knowledge like that on making pizza? Yes please!
I now refer you guys to all of the...
Read moreAfter spending a great summer holiday in Italy, with lovely fresh food, great service... this was the opposite.
We were greated warmly, and got a seat at a large table, quite cramped with no room to move forward or back. The place was full, despite certain imposed health measures... the seating was not comfortable, people sitting less than 1 meter away, old decor and not clean. Old style also applies to service.
We wanted to order and asked one of the waiters for a wine menu and regular menu. He looked at us, said yes, but nothing came. We asked twice again with other waiters, but in 20 minutes we simply could not get a menu or order some wine. Never seen in my life. After a while, we understood, there is a very clear hierarchy and we could only be welcomed by the owner, who finally got us a menu. Overall quite uninterested service and a nervous atmosphere between personnel.
He really pushed the mussels, which we had but tasted far from fresh. We also had tuna with risotto, bland, and lasagne (photo), burned. Maybe we should have gone for pizza.
Overall a very...
Read moreWhat a shame. We went there with a lot of hopes because we read that is authentic Italian cuisine. I would say is Italian inspired but not really authentic. However, the worst part has been that we have to witness how the owner was fighting with one of the cooks. He was very aggressive and it was shocking and, obviously, after that we did not feel like eating. He brought us the food and we barely ate. Still he did not apologize and charged us the entire bill. We are very disappointed and we cannot recommend this place. There are a lot of Italian restaurants in the area that seem much nicer than this one. It really spoiled...
