Shockingly Inhumane and Disrespectful Behavior – A Disgrace to the Name of Lord Krishna
Date of Visit: 9 th August
I am writing this review to express my utter disappointment and disgust with the way I was treated at this establishment. My recent experience at this restaurant was nothing short of appalling, and I feel compelled to share it with others to warn them about the lack of basic human decency at this place.
My elderly mother and I were passing by when she urgently needed to use a restroom due to a sudden health issue. Out of respect for the sacred name of Lord Krishna, which this restaurant proudly displays, we believed it would be a place of compassion and kindness. My mother, hopeful and in distress, even remarked that "Krishna is here to help me." Unfortunately, what followed was a stark contradiction to the values that the name represents.
I approached the staff, politely explaining the situation, and asked if my mother could use their restroom. I also mentioned that I would gladly purchase something to eat, fully intending to support the business. To my shock, the staff member responded with an incredibly rude and dismissive attitude, coldly stating, "This is not a public toilet." Despite my repeated pleas, highlighting the urgency and my mother’s status as a senior citizen, the response remained heartless and unyielding. We were asked to leave in a manner that was not just discourteous, but utterly devoid of compassion.
What makes this experience even more disheartening is the stark contrast we observed with the neighboring Vietnamese bar. The owner there, upon seeing our distress, immediately offered her restroom to my mother without any hesitation, showing the kind of empathy and understanding that was sorely lacking in the restaurant bearing Lord Krishna's name.
I am profoundly disappointed that a business would use the holy name of God while engaging in such unkind and inhumane behavior. This experience has been the worst I have encountered in my nine years of living in Europe, and it is a stark reminder that a name alone does not reflect the values and spirit it should represent.
I urge the management to seriously reconsider how they treat people, especially those in need. A business that lacks basic human decency and compassion, particularly towards the elderly and those in distress, is not one that deserves to be associated with the sacred name of Lord Krishna. I hope this review serves as a wake-up call to the owners and staff to embody the values of kindness, empathy, and respect that they currently fall so far short...
Read moreAs a tourist, one of the worst experiences we have had. The server was extremely rude and borderline racist. The service was trash and the overall experience was very demeaning. The food and the service staff both were highly dissapointing. Been to many places and many restaurants, and this was probably the worst restaurant experience I have ever had.
Edit* so as I see here the owner has responded. First of all, thank you for proving my point. Sir, you mentioned some bowl incident here. So I'd like to inform you that I'm not sure who you're talking about. But we never asked for a bowl or anything, so I'm pretty sure you're talking abt someone else.
Ps. I'd like you to go thru your trip advisor ratings. A lot of people have had terrible experiences with the staff and an astounding number of people mentioned how they were treated like garbage especially if they're Indians. Good on you : )
But just to be clear abt the experience we had, the server greeted every white person in the room but didn't even say acknowledge us. We were nothing but extremely friendly with him and actually tried to garner causal conversation cus it felt like home. To which he responded, that most of out customers here are actually just white people and people 'like you' are very infrequent here and that the restaurant is called Indian But is indeed very "french". While he continued to serve everyone, might i say very very politely, he asked us in the middle of our meal if we were done and ready to leave. There were other ppl in the restaurant who were an audience to this event who could do nothing but smile in sympathy.
Also, SIR, just an advice as a business, it's important to take constructive criticism and at the very least, ask and acknowledge the issue. The failure to do so, hence eventually proved my point. Thank you : ) hope you're happy w the extraordinary hospitality...
Read moreThis was my second time dining at Krishna, and it did not disappoint! Nestled not too far from Montmartre, this restaurant continues to be a go-to spot for me whenever I find myself in Paris and craving some authentic Indian flavors.
We ordered Dal Tadka and Matar Paneer, both of which were absolutely delicious. The Dal Tadka was perfectly spiced and had a wonderful creamy texture, while the Matar Paneer was a delightful combination of soft paneer cubes in a flavorful gravy. The taste was spot-on, and it felt like a little slice of India in the heart of Paris.
What's great about Krishna is that the portion sizes are just right for an individual. No wasteful over-abundance here, yet you're left completely satisfied. To top it off, the prices are incredibly reasonable, making it an excellent value-for-money dining experience.
Overall, Krishna offers a winning combination of mouthwatering food, reasonable pricing, and a convenient location. I'm already looking forward to my next visit. If you're near Montmartre and in the mood for some Indian cuisine, do yourself a favor and stop by Krishna. You won't be...
