L'Étrier d'Or Tchin Tchin Bar — Restaurant in Paris

The food was very bad and expensive! The staff couldn’t speak english but she looked friendly (at first). We ordered the chicken with rice which was so bad! Tasteless! They put it on the microwave for us before serving. However, the worst thing was when we paid with card, she said it was rejected that we need to pay again but we looked from our account it was paid already. So we refused to pay and she called someone who can speak english and they said we need to pay again and the previous one will be refunded. It doesn’t make sense at all about how can it get refunded as they said, so we called the bank to ask and they said it was already paid and the restaurant had already received it. But the restaurant denied it, even we let them talk to the bank officer. Even the bank officer told us THEY’RE TRYING TO SCAM US!!!!! Luckily the bank was kind enough to do the refund in the bank system and told us to pay again to end this. Seriously!! We wasted so much time fighting for our money and if we did pay again without calling the bank it means we...

We were forced by the owner to pay our bill twice because according to her the first payment (by debit card) didn't process. My bank statement proved otherwise and I even contacted my bank who confirmed that the restaurant already got their money.

My bank even talked to the owner who refused to accept the truth and eventually forced us to pay twice for food that tasted like nothing.
