I'd say this place is overrated where it currently stands. It both served very delicious plates as well as puzzlingly poor ones. We ordered:

Terrine with pickles (5/5) - very delicious terrine with some caramelized onions and a pickle. Everyone at the table liked this. Chicken meatballs (4/5) - ordered for the kids but they didn't like it because it had too much parceley. Overall it had a nice texture and a good sauce so we gobbled it up. Smoked haddock on cauliflower rice (1/5) - I love smoked fish but this was disappointing. The cauliflower, sauce and fish didn't work together at all and it was too salty Steak with Chimichurri sauce and fries (5/5) - the best dish we got. Usually ordering stake is disappointing because of the cut of meat or poor seasoning. This was perfectly cooked and seasoned and very tender - incredible! Chicken breast with linguine (4/5) - chicken was okay but linguine was just ok. The sauce was a fig and olive sauce which was too sweet. Turbot with Tarragon crust and red rice (1/5) - ugh so salty and way too much terragon. Could barely finish this.

If you come here order the good stuff and...

This cozy little restaurant is quite the hidden gem of the neighborhood. We decided to take dinner here spontaneously after just passing by earlier in the morning and seeing that it had a nice vibe and the are was not very crowded. The staff is very friendly and they made us feel very welcome. The choices on the menu are very interesting and we really enjoyed our meals as they were very attentively made and very tasty. The wine selection is nice, we had two vins rouges (Blaye côtes de Bordeaux and château Malijay côtes de Rhône) and personnaly I found the Blaye wine amazing. There aren't many choices in the menu but what they have is very fresh and tasty, it is impossible not to find something that you enjoy, they even have some vegetarian options that I tried and were very good. The atmosphere here is so cozy with a jazzy vibe. All in all we really enjoyed our time here, we will...

My visit to La Gorgée was extremely disappointing. Although we had a reservation for 3 people and arrived on time, they refused to give us the table and informed that the chef had closed the kitchen. It’s really a shame to treat customers this way, especially since we had a reservation confirmed with a two year old baby. So frustrating! The waitresses did not seem to care about the situation and provided no proper apology. They said there was nothing they could do as it was the fault of the person who manages the booking system. They provided no alternatives nor they were any helpful. One of the waitresses asked the chef if they could go ahead and accommodate us and the chef said NO! Not sure about their food, but if they cook the same way they treat their customers I’d rather go to another place. To prove I had a reservation i have attached the screenshot of my confirmation email...
