After visiting the Louvre, I was delighted to see this location right outside of the exit. It was my first visit to any Laduree and was excited to try their macarons. I walked in 10 minutes before closing and by the time I got to the counter the store had about 3 minutes before closing (I was the last customer). At first I felt rushed by the manager which didn’t allow me to focus on looking at all the selections and make a choice. I expressed my sentiments to the manager and he apologized and offered me a complimentary cookie. I purchased a pack of cookies, 1/2 dozen macarons and an ice cream sandwich. One of the associates also gave me another complimentary macaron. I appreciated their efforts to make up for the rushed service at first. Regarding the taste of everything: the macarons are good, but to be honest, I’ve had better from smaller bakeries. BUT they have the most wonderfully decadent ice cream sandwiches! I had the rose and vanilla sandwich. It was soft to bite into, had a surprising rose essence and tasty vanilla flavor. It also had a frozen raspberry sorbet filling that was a tastier treat within the treat! I would absolutely visit again for another (or 2 or 3 lol). I haven’t tasted the cookies yet but they look pretty promising (cookies and cream dipped in white chocolate). The store itself was very beautiful. Go for the experience and ambiance; be sure to go at least 30 minutes before closing so that you won’t feel rushed and the staff can...
Read moreI had a very disappointing experience at this Ladurée location. Two young white male employees, both with blond hair, were standing at the front. They greeted certain customers with smiles and friendly hellos — but not everyone.
When I, an Asian customer, approached, both of them instantly stopped smiling and said nothing. Their attitude became cold and indifferent. Right after me, two white customers walked in, and the staff greeted them warmly, with visible friendliness.
This difference in treatment was hard to ignore. As an Asian visitor, I felt disrespected and unwelcome. It’s deeply upsetting to experience this kind of subtle discrimination at an international luxury brand. Ladurée should train their staff to treat all customers with equal respect — no matter where they’re from or what they look like. Based on this experience, I would not recommend this location to...

1 STAR - ORIGINAL POST: Awful service. Grotty attitude from one member of staff.
Two people in front of us were by the counter for 5 mins making a selection and staff didn’t say a word to them, within 30 seconds of my kids doing the same thing, to pick their favour of Macaroons, the staff were telling them to move back.
Of the 20 places we’ve visited in France in the last 5 days, the people have been impeccable, I warrant that everyone has a bad day, but if you’re in the service industry, you don’t act that way needlessly.
Avoid, until better training or apology are...
