My experience here was short lived but it’s worth sharing none the less. I live near this place, I walk past every day, it looks lovely and friendly, and always busy, so this morning, after perusing the breakfast formula board on display on the street, I decided to stop for a light breakfast. I sat down and waited the usual amount of time, waiting to be served. Ten minutes later a server seated a large group near to me so I greeted her before she walked off and she did the same, then I asked for breakfast. She said no, it’s time to lunch now. I asked when they serve breakfast until, she said 12. I looked around and saw people being served croissants and orange juice still. I said oh, I’ve been sat here 10 minutes, it’s 5 to 12 so can I have breakfast? She said, in my face, NO SIR IT’S TIME TO LUNCH then walked off. For the best, I walked off immediately, I can’t stand that kind of behaviour, it boils my p*ss. Exactly how hard is it to serve a coffee, an orange juice and put a croissant on a plate? I’ll tell you, it’s not hard at all. If any of my female friends had have been with me at the time, that server would be having a different day right now. I wondered why none of the locals I know come here, maybe this is it. Anyway, the food looks ok and the terrace is nice, so I’m sure if you don’t encounter this sever’s mood, you’ll be just fine. Enjoy! I might pop back, if only to see if that server has lightened up a little. Fingers crossed hey?...
Read moreThis café is one of 3 cafés right next door to each other and it was an excellent choice! Our server was Luna, she was amazing! I’d have to say she was the best server we had on our entire trip in Paris, She is fluent in French, English, and Spanish! She was patient with us, she took the time to go over the specials of the day, explained and described foods knowing it would be different from our typical American dishes, she gave recommendations, she took into consideration any allergies we had and she even went as far as showing us different dishes to try for future visits! My husband had sirloin steak (medium) and crepes for dessert and I had the sausage and mashed potatoes with pepper sauce and for dessert I had the red fruits flavored with basil. Everything was delicious! It was all around great service and great food! I would 100% recommend and on my next visit to Paris I will return. Thank you Luna for making our last meal in Paris a...
Read moreCafe Blanc Paris or how to ruin your afternoon and lose a client. The first time I came to Paris, I inadvertently found Cafe Blanc. I fell in love. In a city where tourist traps abound, I was exctatic to find a restaurant where service was impeccable, the food was good and the prices were very decent. Every year after that, every time I came to Paris, I was looking forward to Cafe Blanc. It was part of my small Paris ritual, without fault. I could go back home and say-Paris?" Go to Cafe Blanc. Not anymore. This time, my cousin needed to use the bathroom. Urgently. Like, I really can't wait. They turned her around because they were cleaning. She explained it was urgent. They couldn't care less.I tried to tell them, only to be treated with more disrespect. It is extremely disappointing. I am sure Cafe Blanc will be just fine. Another attrape-tourist in Paris. You certainly won't see me here again. How...
