We felt fortunate to have chosen Le Dauphin for a light lunch before our scheduled tour of Ste Chapelle. Place Dauphin is an pretty and quiet, tree shaded courtyard just round from the chapel on the Isle de la Cite banded by a number of intimate restaurants. We had planned to return to a restaurant we’d been to a few years ago but were approached by a waiter to consider his restaurant, Le Dauphin and the lighter fare offered by this Creperie. We didn't feel “solicited” but rather made to feel very welcome and were so glad to experience the creperie and the extremely charming, Guillaume. We enjoyed some delicious Gallettes, a cold beer and some delicious wine served en pichet. We were also amused and charmed as the wine carafe was delivered in a clear plastic bag that served as an ice bag, surrounded by water, ice and a small floating rubber duck. With a great sense of humor we felt comfortable joking with Guillaume that the little duck looked drunk as it kept floating upside down. Guillaume graciously let us practice our French although his excellent English aided our communication. As we came to leave we were gifted with the charming rubber duck which will serve as a reminder of a delicious lunch, charming waiter and enchanting afternoon. Avec nos remerciements Guillaume, et a la prochaine! Karen...
Read moreDo not go here. We stopped by while visiting Paris. The food was extremely poor quality and over priced. My husband ordered a bbq chicken sandwich and roasted potatoes and I ordered the Caesar salad with chicken. The chicken was clearly a store bought frozen breaded chicken patty. The texture and taste was mushy and gross. I couldn’t eat my salad. My husbands potatos were cold and tasteless. The bread tasted sour and off as well. We only had water. We paid $56! The bathroom was also very dirty and a little scary. Felt like I was in the chokey from Matilda! I will say our server was very kind and polite and doing her best even with a...
Read moreThis was a super nice find, thanks to our „Simply France Tour Paris“ guide Andreas with the bike tour „Charming corners and niches in Paris“. Guillaume, the charismatic and super empathetic garçon has made a great and very special time for us during our stay, while the rain poured outside. So, we loved that we could come and learn how cozy this place is, made us very much cheer up and showed us how sweet and familiar Paris can also be. With great wines and cheeses, and very much of...
